I've been told by certain Negative Nancies recently that this is a disgusting dish, but it's definitely one of my longtime favorites in terms of making a filling meal without having to do a whole lot of work. Maybe it's a guilty pleasure, but I figured I'd ask the masses...anyone else enjoy this delicious case of worlds colliding?

I've never had it, but it sounds like two great tastes, that taste great together.

since i think tuna is the worst food on the face of the earth, i have to go with "no good".

but if i liked tuna, it would probably be decent, mixing mac and cheese with stuff is good.

i love mac n' cheese w/ tuna! but i've found that a little goes a long way. i always get tired of it after a few bites. it's a good po' person meal, though.

Are we talking homemade macaroni and cheese or day-glo orange Kraft Macaroni & Cheese?

Skip the Tuna and cut up some hot dogs and dump em in (day glo orange kraft kind) with half a can of Rotel and you got yourself a little lump of white trash heaven !

Whatever floats your boat. Everyone has their own type of mac 'n' cheese they prefer.

Usually, I like the creamier, more homemade stuff, but when I make this particular combo, I go for the powdered stuff. Not sure why.

I think I might make some. But I'm going to soak some crumbled Ritz crackers in butter, sprinkle it on top, then bake it.

No amount of votes will make me think this is not foul.

Rotel is basically canned tomatoe with diced up green chillis. Must be a mid-west / west thing. I can ship you a case.

It's not just in the Midwest. We have it here. Sometimes it with the rest of the canned tomatoes, and sometimes with the Mexican food.

I make a killer homemade Mac and Cheese. I had to stop making it though, because I would use about a pound and a half of cheese, and it was just so damn bad for me.

The box stuff is good, when I'm feeling lazy and don't really care what I'm eating.

as far as mixing in tuna, I've never done it and at first thought it sounds pretty gross, however I will try it next time I make the boxed stuff and see how it goes.

As disgusting as it may sound, this is a dish my chick makes now and then (it was something her mom made when she was a kid):

- Rigatoni
- Tuna
- Velvetta
- Red pepper flakes

Mix it together, sprinkle bread crumbs on top and bake for 15-20 minutes. Not exactly "gourmet," but it is good.

Sounds OK to me. Real college food.

Personally, I think you could mix a turd in with Mac and Cheese and it would be yummy.

Sometimes I mix in a big ol' squirt of ketchup. (With the box kind. not homemade) Yum.
