For reasons undisclosed on the show, Fezzie is taking the rest of the week off.

In one of the "side" conversations on the show, it sounded like Fez was going in for a planned procedure- this was the day that his sister was calling him during the show? And Ron reassured him, saying "it's easier now than 20 years ago?"

So, I think it's sex change time.

I can't say I'm not extremely worried about this one.

I remember Fez taking a call off air and coming back on air saying there was somthing he was going to have to deal with. I wonder if all this is linked together.

The way they were talking around the issue last week after his sister called during the show, I thought it might be something personal with his family. Either way, I hope everything works out okay. Poor guy has been through a rough 2 years.

That's kinda what I thought, but I didn't hear what was said about Fez's abscence today on the show so I'm working off my memory of that strange phone call Fez got in the middle of the show.

Whatever it is I actually don't think it had to do with him because he's been a little more on the ball lately and when he's sick or worrying he seems to clam up a lot more.

But if it's a health issue, a personal issue or a family issue it's not our business. Whatever he shares about it with us on the air is our business. And whatever it is we all do wish him well.

Newbie here.

I heard the call on the air and got the feeling it was family related.

Good luck, Fezzie.

I wish Fez read the board so he would know that we all are pulling for him. That we care alot about his well-being and happiness beyond rational consideration, even though most of us have never met him personally, let alone have any semblance of a personal relationship with him. That he is, in most of our opinions, a sweet, great, smart guy who deserves only the best in health, life, and all the other stuff that goes with those two things.

Perhaps he already knows this, perhaps not...but I doubt he'll ever fully understand just how much we care about him and are thankful to him for what he does through his intelligent, funny contributions to a great radio show. Which is make each of our lives a little bit nicer, and even the smallest contribution in this direction is greatly appreciated, even while we are busy busting his balls or joking about him.

God Speed, good luck, and we all are praying for you in our individual, unique ways of wishing you the best. My way? I'll order for the table.

I'm a fairly new fan of r&f. First heard of them around April, 2006 on the Directv channel. From that, I became a huge fan and brought myself an Inno for xmas. Before them, I thought paying for radio was as fucked up as a football bat.

Anyhow, the point I'm getting at is I never heard the WNEW shows until last week and Fez really blew me away! It was almost as if Ron was taking a back seat to Fez in some instances. I was really pleasantly surprised. I gained a whole new respect for the man. He is fucking hilarious when he's in his groove. It's really makes me hope he gets his personal problems under control and gets some of that old energy back. Having said that, I love Fezzie and will be a fan regardless. Good luck and best wishes Fezzie.

I caught the side talk last week after Fez's sister called. Then Fez's phone rang again yesterday and Ron told him to get it. I'm sure it's a family thing. I really think Fez has been great lately. Even though there have recently been brief choke-up moments (possibly to do more with the family situation than with his own problems), it's nothing like late last year and early this year. I really think he's turned a corner. I hope all is well with the family, and can't wait to hear him back on the air.

WE LOVE YOU FEZ!

Wow. I feel like I was about to post the exact same thing. I also wish that Fez could find some positive re-enforcement from this board. I feel like I am not alone in saying that Fezzy, and the show in general, strike a chord with certain people. Most times it is with people who never even knew they could love a radio show so much. Or feel so involved with people they have never met. Ron is God, but Fez is 50% of the only radio show i would ever pay to listen to. I wish him a speedy return and a better understanding of the level of radio gold he delivers just by being there and being himself.

Wow, just that one sentence sums up how we feel about fez, and just life in general. Powerful, simply powerful...
