Just because something is used or done on a radio show doesn't magically make it fine and hilarious in everyday conversation. If you hear something on the radio, do you assume that you should then use it essentially in front of strangers in a public setting? As communal as this place is, most of us are ultimately strangers. Pixie-It was wrong of him to say, and you have every right to be pissed. But it was also just a joke. There was no serious intent behind it. When you try to make jokes you're going to swing and miss more often than not. I took the joke as being more about being intentionally crude (talking like a hayseed) rather than being an racial attack.
