View Full Version : We're All Going To Die
Today was the most viciously humid day I can ever remember. Even now at 11:15 PM the air is so thick that you could cut it with a knife.
I think this is the way mankind will be wiped from the face of the earth; the air will become too watery for us to breathe.
Congratulations, amphibians. It's your time to rule.

From the current issue of Scientific American:
An Earth Without People:
It’s a common fantasy to imagine that you’re the last person left alive on earth. But what if all human beings were suddenly whisked off the planet?
In this extended thought experiment, Weisman does not specify exactly what finishes off Homo sapiens; instead he simply assumes the abrupt disappearance of our species and projects the sequence of events that would most likely occur in the years, decades and centuries afterward.

Spend the summer in Abu Dhabi, then you'll really know how bad the heat/humidity combo can really be.

Here Is Existentialism For You:
Sleep is good
Death is better
But of course, the best thing would to have never been born at all.

Do You Realize - that you have the most beautiful face
Do You Realize - we're floating in space -
Do You Realize - that happiness makes you cry
Do You Realize - that everyone you know someday will die
And instead of saying all of your goodbyes - let them know
You realize that life goes fast
It's hard to make the good things last
You realize the sun doesn't go down
It's just an illusion caused by the world spinning round
Do You Realize - Oh - Oh - Oh
Do You Realize - that everyone you know
Someday will die -
And instead of saying all of your goodbyes - let them know
You realize that life goes fast
It's hard to make the good things last
You realize the sun doesn't go down
It's just an illusion caused by the world spinning round
Do You Realize - that you have the most beautiful face

Wow. And today is the day where I have heard every weatherman tell us to say inside and not to do too much physical activity between 12 and 4.
Oh and also to check on the elderly. And Gvac.
