The editing of the show must be both exhausting and exciting as hell. I also loved last night's CBS version - very well put together. Thankfully, this year's cast is giving them a lot of material - there isn't as much fluff ("Howie thinks he's a Jedi and chases people around for an entire segment...") - Danielle's HOH break was really well done, and then her in the diary room laughing about it. Kind of fun season, all things considered.

Funny thing - Dick just said to Zach and Jen that the producers don't care one bit about who is in the house, that is it all about ratings. That is exactly why they care - because they fear if Dick is kicked out, ratings will drop.

I have no problem with the producers trying to convince players. Every house guest is an adult thus they should be able to think on their own. The rules part I do have a problem with. There was a vote to destory a house guests property yet that person herself can't destory someone elses property?
The producers wanted Dick to be in the house as long as possible.

In DC it's not until 2:07 a.m. - same thing happened last year, all over the country, with CBS stations that do regional pre-season NFL.

They REALLY need to begin this show right at the start of the summer - right after Memorial Day weekend, and not wait a month. That way it really is a SUMMER show - it could end before Labor Day. I have found I have almost no interest in BB once September rolls around - and the finale' ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS sucks. It's too short to cram in everything - everyone is a bit shell shock - Julie Chen asks the most insulting ridiculous questions - the big "reveals" are always a bit of a let-down (I am still ticked they didn't didn't tell Kail on the air about Eric a few weeks ago) - I know they will screw it all up again this year.

I was so happy to see Danile crying. This girl is such a cheating fucked up cunt. She has a boyfriend and yet cries over nick and talks about him all the time. I believe it goes like this do not get mad if I am not entirely correct, but from what I remember. On Thursday when a new HOH is crowned they have to immediatly put 2 more people up & then on Sunday there is another live show & they have a new HOH. I wish IndyMike would check back in to answer a few questions. My memory is shot. I can not wait to see Janelle on Tues hosting the POV I really liked her.

Zach is an idiot. He had total control tonight. What he should have done was used the veto on anyone. Then Daniele would had to be nominated and zach and either original nominees could have voted her out. Now its 2 against 1 the rest of the way. Watching the HoH tonight pissed me off. Its one thing to meet in the house and form an alliance. Its another to have the enemies thing on the show. No one ever went against him because they were afraid. That has to be the only reason, because strategically they should have gotten Daniele out a couple of times or even Dick.

This weeks HoH means very little - all it means is you are safe. The POV winner holds the power.

Assuming Zach does nominate Dick and Daniele...

Zach wins it - he can leave it the same and Jameka votes someone out (probably Daniele).

Jameka wins it - she doesn't use it and votes out whomever she wants.

Dick or Daniele win it - they save themself and vote out Jameka who will go up in their place.

Dick has survived on the ineptness and ignorance of his opponents. He only made a plan and followed through with it one time. How many times did he say he was going to send Jen or Kail home before it finally happened? If one other person in the house had half a brain he would have been gone a long time ago, the ONLY reason he has been able to survive is because he has someone else looking out for him (and there was nothing strategic about him forming that alliance, he just did it because its family). Same with that whiny brat he calls a daughter.

What Dick did was just wrong. He took everything personal. He said he told the truth to everyone. Yet he back stabbed Jessica and Eric in the back. Then goes on to say it was just game playing. Then he had made a deal with Zach to go to the finally 3 and Jameeka. Once Zach won hoh he then had to go with the Zach final 3. Zach then realized that they did this and that he had no chance to make it to the final 2 because they wouldnt take him. So he tried to get rid of 1 of them. Look bro, you tried to act like I said Zach was a better competitor (which I didn't I said he was awful) and you specificaly mentioned me when you were gloating about Dick winning (which I never said he wouldn't) and I was not the only one who said they sucked. You can call it gloating... I'd like to think of it as appreciating the fact that he had a target on his back early on and was able to work his way through. I had pulled for Dick early in the game. I saw him try to reconcile with his daughter. And to see them both now in position to win the 500K is good from that perspective.

He helped Danielle and she helped him. Just like Will and Mike Boogie, who also had each other's back. There is a vast majority of the people who want to discredit Dick saying that he did little to put himself in this position. He won POVs and HOH, which is something that Will did not do when he won Season 2.

Do I think I would like Dick in real life? No. I find him to be a good character for this show. His "tactics" whether acceptable to most or not, worked because he is in the final 2.

Do you including the producers exerting their influence to keep him in the house part of his 'tactics'? How about being put against people as intelligent as Zach and Eric? Was that all part of his master plan? He fell into this, and if he wasn't such a nut case, this would have been one of the most boring seasons ever. So you love dick, I don't care, that's fine with me, but if you want to respond to something I said, go ahead and use the quote button, don't use some stupid 'i'm looking in your direction' phrase towards me and act like we had some bet about who would win this thing. I never said they would loose for sure, or that they didn't win a lot of competitions, I said they were only doing well because everyone else sucked, and in the end, the are winning because Zach sucked. If Dick gotten every question right you might have an argument, but it came down to him not getting as may wrong as Zach. He actually only got half of his A or B questions right, meaning he did as well as chance. If they were actually the fantastic players you claim, Dick would have thrown the second competition, because Danielle always does better when it comes to questions. But they didn't, because they suck, and when it came down to it, they had beat someone who would have done better if they had flipped a coin instead of using their brain. When you watch eviction episodes early in this season, you see the HGs state the positives and negatives of each nominee. This is directly from the producers ask them of reasons

Dick had to win because like they all said in the jury house Danielle just rode his coat tails all season long. There is a twist every yr.

I disagree. He didnt do anything right except the first few days. Thats when America liked him for being an asshole and decided to keep him with Americas player. If you went to some of those BB websites everyone was talking about fucking up the game and keeping Dick in the house. There was a big pull to do this and it happened. Then people started to hate Dick but he was never nominated again while eric was in the house. I think the best player was Jessica. Her down fall was listening and trusting Eric. Not that he didnt like her or look out for her. But when America told him what to do he followed through and she followed. Her last hoh she wanted to nominate dick and daniele. But eric talked her out of it. She knew that was the time to do it. If they were both playing for themselves they would never have done that but America sucks and fucked it up. Dick seemed stunned at the finale and even said before he won that he wasnt the master mind he thought he was.

I feel the best player won. Cases can be made for other people (Dustin, Jessica, Zach) but each had their flaws which caused them to be eviceted. I have had much back and forth over the merit's of Dick's game so I won't focus on them at this time.

Since Dick made himself a target it gave the impression that he controlled the game and more importantly, Danielle was riding his coat-tails. Thsi was likely the main reason Danielle didn't win.

I found Jessica to be too gullible, which is a quality that is a formula for failure in thie game. You have to be cut-throat and be willing to flip and change alliances in order to survive eliminations. She had the right intentions but failed to act when she had the chance. Dustin became over-confident and it caused his exit. He wanted to be sitting beside Dick at eviction so that he could give a big "f-u" to him when he was evicted. He didn't campaign for votes because he was so convinced that he was safe.

Zach had the best opportunity because of his ineptness in the early competitions and had the chance to advance to the final two. But he was unable to pull off the final competition and want to the jury house. It is likely that if Zach was in the final two he would have beaten Dick or Danielle just because the rest of the jury (except Eric) hated Dick or Danielle.

The first people evicted tend to be the ones that stand out for being anti-social or rub the entire house the wrong way. The best chance the houseguests had in removing Dick was early on. Jessica wavered over evicting Dick or Danielle and it came back to haunt her. This was also because of Eric's involvement as America's player (which I feel was a very bad idea and hope that diesn't return next season). Once a player has a chance to build an alliance, then the ease of eviction lessens with each passing week.

It may be a bit late - but aparently Dick and Danielle saw each other at an audition before they went into the house... so they both sort of knew they would be on the show together. He admitted this today in his CBS interview with Julie Chen.

I think this further proves he had an idea before going into the house he would need to team up with her to win.

Im not saying he shouldnt win - I just think it sucks he was sort of prepared for what was happening.

He obviously was saved by America with America's player... and by Zach who should have vetoed Eric and voted out Danielle on the double eviction show.

CBS leans on 'Brother' during strike
Reality show staffing up for early launch

CBS may rely on its "Big Brother" as a strike contingency.

Skein, usually a summer staple, has started staffing up for an in-season run that could be on the air as soon as February, people familiar with the situation said.

Indeed, in anticipation of a strike, Eye quietly began casting for the next edition of the show a few weeks ago.

Exec producer Allison Grodner is also said to be working on a new creative twist for the Julie Chen-hosted skein, in which a group of strangers live together in a house for three months.

There's been buzz that the next edition of "Big Brother" might actually use celebrities, as opposed to ordinary people. A long strike might work in favor of such a plan, since some celebs normally busy working on sitcoms and dramas might have some time on their hands.

Possibility of an early "Big Brother" popped up on Tuesday's edition of the Eye's "Early Show." Anchor Hanna Storm joked that the show might be back sooner than the summer, prompting a roll of the eyes from Chen. Chen then expressed her hope that the strike is settled soon.

"Big Brother" would be a perfect strike weapon for CBS because it airs three times a week, filling three key hours of primetime.

Eye execs declined to comment.
