Hi there......

Although I don't post here a lot I thought I would make a thread about Big Brother (didn't see one started already).

Yes it is that time again, the show begins next week.

Not sure if Ron even wants to discuss it this year and either way it will be in full swing before they return.

For those interested, I am guessing the HGs will move in the house Sunday or Monday - the feeds will be turned on after the first show a week from Thursday. The house should look pretty similar to last year's version. There are rumors on a 'theme' this year but nothing is really confirmed (some high school bully theme is the biggest rumor - old high school enemies).

I'm personally hoping for all new people and not too much of a "gimicky" theme - then again BB 4,5, and 6 all had gimmics involving relationships between HGS so I guess there might be some stupid theme this year as well. bleh

Real Superpass is normally $14.99 a month (includes tons of other stuff - but honestly I barely use any of it) - through various links you can get a 2 week trial to check it out - or a 3 day trial and then a discounted subscription. It shouldn't cost you more than $10 a month to watch July-Sept.

I never watched this show and never really cared to either, but I just want to know one thing. When is this Janelle chick gonna show her cans? She's hot!

Google image search is your friend - turn off filters and search for Janelle Pierzina Playboy and you will find what you crave. She did some nudes before she was on BB6 - not sure if she has done any since.

I think someone else answered both these - and yeah - ShoToo is supposed to have 3 hours a night of live feeds - one camera 12am-3am Eastern (9pm-12am 'Big Brother' time). I haven't decided if I wanna invest in Showtime or whatever I need to do to see it since I don't think it will have anything not on the live feeds - it will just be higher quality - and on my TV. But even 3am Eastern is 'early' in the Big Brother house, they are quite the night owls when things start out and I can just imagine CBS/ShoToo cutting the feeds @ 3am and ticking people off in the middle of some fight or scheming.

I might have to pickup Showtime. The live feeds seem to be where its at.

The feeds are what make the show. If all you watch is the show I can imagine you won't find it very interesting. Seeing what REALLY happens and then how CBS edits it together to suit their needs is what makes it interesting. It sheds a lot of light on how 'fake' a lot of reality TV is. Editing really does play a big part in how a show is perceicved.

The show is useless without the feeds. I'll try and watch the first episode or two to see if the cast is any good. If so, I'll prob get the feeds. All Stars was the first season I had ever watched and it was pretty good.

Closest thing I have seen on BB USA - this is from Season 4.... David and Amanda - they cut the feeds for 20 minutes or so at the end of this clip. It was the first (and as far as I know only) 'hooking up' in the house. Howie and Mike cranking a few off in the pool box last year (NOT with each other) and during BB6 doesn't count (ewww)!

I just watched the first episode. It looked good, it may be the best season based on the twists and the "mole"

I thought this show is as close to our real time as possible? Like, didnt they just go in the house tonight (maybe within the past 2 days or so?)? It seems from some clips of whats to come that they have been in the house for awhile. When thye introduced the mole/ our puppet they showed him doing all sorts of things. For him to have done all that already doesnt it seem like they have been in there for more then a few days?

I'm sure IndyMike has the correct and more detailed answer, but I believe only one show a week is live, I think Thursdays, when they kick someone off. The other two days a week are not live.

The show has never been entertaining. But if you watch the feeds and know what is REALLY going on, the show is interesting to watch to see how the producers make a show outta 'reality.'

Feeds haven't begun yet. They seem to be holding off until after the West coast premiere which means another 90 minutes for us out 'East' (even if I am in Indiana).

The TV show lags up to 2 or 3 days behind what happens in the house - except they catch up on Thursdays for the live show.

I assumed they actually entered the house last Sunday or Monday. We'll know for sure when the feeds go live and they talk about it because they will eventually say something like "this is day 5" and then we can deduce when they went in the house.

I've had the feeds since they went live - haven't heard Dick drop a name yet that I can think of - remember CBS had 5 days of video to compress into Sundays show. Dick sure did seem to be name dropping - but everyone (especially Kail) seemed to be asking. Its all in the editing ;)

Jen will be nominated soon enough and while I think I will kinda enjoy her meltdown in a sick way, it might also drive me mad to listen to her complain about being nominated.

CBS can not broadcast copyrighted material over the internet feeds, so if one of the guests wants a little privacy, they just start singing a pop song or something and they have to cut away or pay royalties. Its a nice little trick.

One reason, the heat. Secondly, they know 'ShoToo' is on - Jen specifically seems to be aware of that fact and is doing things when she knows "America" is watching. Can't say why Dustin and Kail were, but they didn't eat dinner until after 7pm "BB" time (10pm Eastern) - they tend to become night owls in the house over the course of the season.

I really can't recall seeing this happen. They have cut away since BB2 and I know that if they sing things to intentionally get the cams off the would get a strong reprimand. Almost everytime someone sings they come over the loudspeakers and tell the person to stop. So at most the person gets 10 seconds of privacy as far as they know - and the camera's never stop recording - just the feeds.

I would imagine they have rules about breaking equipment to keep people from tossing things when angry, or even 'accidentally' breaking their mic. I have wondered for a while about if they have some way to punish them, since everyone seems to follow the rules when they're told to eat slop for X number of days. I would have expected someone by now to just say fuck it, and refuse to eat that crap.

They repremand them with a recorded voice and when that doesn't work a staff member comes over the loudspeaker and tell them (and we are usually blocked from seeing that). If they still misbehave - then they get a verbal lashing in the diary room from the producers and contracts are probably thrown in their face where they agreed to follow the rules or forfeit their payheck (they do get paid for every day they are in the house).

As far as I know they don't get charged if they break something, as long as it isn't intentional.

If you look @ that picture you will see a canal on the right side of the building. People I know from the site I help run climbed through that canal during BB1 and tossed toilet paper into the BB house when they ran out. The walls are much much higher now.

They have enclosed the front of the house so the building looks much bigger.

Nope, he has to keep it a secret from everyone. Plus, for every 5 tasks he completes, he wins $10,000.

One thing they haven't made clear is whether Eric has to do what the voters say. For example, if down the line America said he had to vote to evict his strongest ally, does he have to do it? Or does he just possibly forfeit money by doing it?

I'm hoping Amber is gone as well. Anyone who thinks they deserve to win because of something in their personal lives is an ass. Plus, it makes more sense to vote out Amber. Carol is an idiot who can be used for votes until she's no longer needed, while Amber seems to be close with Dick, who actually has a clue what he's doing and will use her to his advantage.

As far as I know all that Eric has to do is complete 5 tasks for every 10k. It really isn't that big of a reward - they each get paid several thousand dollars a week for being in the house (I can't remember the exact rate).

Why the hell would you vote against your alliance's wishes because America told you to if it meant you would piss off the house and be voted out the next week?

The America's Player thing is worthless for the most part. However Eric may just be dumb enough to follow America's directive even if it dooms him in the house.

btw - the vote will be this morning and I am 95% sure I know which way it is going.

Carol will be voted out but not by a landslide - I think it will be 7-4 or 8-3 - but can't even say that for sure.

so they cast their vote 1 1/2 days before the live eviction? Why do they do this? That makes no sense. That must be the reason why it never looks like a surprise to the person voted out. They must walk around for a day and half and ask who voted for them and then get an idea of the vote count.

They do it for a couple reasons. Mainly so they (the production staff) knows for sure who is going and can select how to present the show in such a way to make it see close - lol (these are my opinions). Plus they get 'farewell' quotes from each HG to each potential evictee to play. The voting itself will take a couple hours and remember - the staff - or most of them - work a 9-5 job so they can't be voting @ 5pm the night before because the majority of the staff won't be around to edit the show until the next day and the show airs @ 5pm Pacific.

Tomorrow they HGs will be allowed to sleep in a bit then they will be told to clean house all day to prepare for the live show. They will also do a rehearsal with Julie or a stand in an rehearse a simulation of the HoH competition that will take place after the eviction.

And no - the other HGs will most likely not let Carol know she is going - lest she get a real bad attitude - and also because they don't trust each other in the house.

I think Carol is going. If they were smart, they would get rid of Amber, since she is more dangerous (but not that dangerous, eventually she will have to stop praying to God and actually think up a strategy herself), but I do not think this group is thinking that far ahead yet.

Some of the girls are now talking about how it could of been rigged. Daniele said her dad brought up how their probably was two answers, a big one and a small one. All I heard was that during the show Zach sat next to Jameka. On more than one occasion during the show she said he reached down and squeezed her leg. She was uncomfortable with the gesture. He may have been trying to re-assure her since it was the 1st live show.

While I'm not watching the feeds, the Showtime version or reading any of the feed recaps, I wouldn't be surprised it was in the editing for the show - the fact that we were made to believe she had made up her mind before the commercial, and she then picked Joe, really made for better television.

I completely buy that she is ridiculously shallow and jealous, but we (the home viewer) obviously missed a conversation or two to get her back on track.

Glad to see Joe leave - I'd like Jen to stay for a couple of more weeks, just because she is a great thorn in their sides - Eric's task last night was awful (why hasn't he set up an alliance with anyone yet?)

Actually my hits never go up after calling R&F - that isn't why I do it. I like talking about the show.

Same goes for posting here - if no one cares if I post spoilers - I have no problem with it. I typed my URL that day because I couldn't find a 'nsfw' option like we have on FBA and I didn't want to 'ruin' the show for anyone.

So here is the big spoilers for Thursday night -

The Mrs Robinson Alliance is history - Nick has totally jumped ship and today he suggested Zach join him.

The rest of the alliances are really in flux - Kail, Mike and Jen are the most 'outside looking in' people. However Dick, who would seem to be in an alliance with Dustin, dosen't trust him at all and wants him out soon if he has his way.

Joe will be voted out Live tomorrow.

Dick is the only one remotely worth of being in that house, the rest are awful.

I think putting up Jen and Kail makes the most sense for Dick because they are the two that want him out the most. Kail is the primary pick to go because she has shown the ability to influence people while Jen is just a dummy, but a dummy who could win an HOH or a POV and help send him (or one of his allies) home.

If Kail were to win the POV, that could be interesting. She'd obviously use it, and I would guess at that point Dick would put up Mike. Then it just becomes a matter of which one is a stronger ally to Kail.

I like Dick, because he's really in your face, and he calls people out when they lie to him, but he's not playing the game very well. Eventually, he's going to need to keep what he knows about people's alliances/promises secret, and figure out how to use the knowledge to his advantage. Regarding Amber... christ... when is she not crying? She has some serions mental issues. A couple of weeks more and she will be crying constantly... and have to be taken by medics from the house for deydtation.

wow dick is so annoying and paranoid. They seem to focus way too much on him on showtime. All he does is cough, smoke, spit. He spits so much in the backyard that I wouldnt walk around barefoot.

As for Jen, shes growing on me. The way she just goes about her business and doesnt take things too personal (other then her picture). Shes out for herself but she tries to be friendly to everyone, she just says the wrong things at times that makes her seem shallow. I think thats more of an act or she looks up to paris hilton too much.

I didnt like Kail for the whole show, but feel bad for her because she keeps getting belittled by Dick and has no come back. She seems like shes afraid of him.

Dick was in a great position when he won HOH. The majority of the house liked him and he was going to be the guy that got Jen or Kail out of the house. He's completely screwed that up now.

Amber said something completely ridiculous about loving her dog as much as her daughter. Yeah it was dumb but he went after her for it as he's been doing the last couple of days and now she really hates him.

I guess Amber has this idea in her head that everyone loves her and if she wants Dick out he'll go. I don't think that's true but Dick didn't need any more enemies. Based on the couple of minutes I've seen here, Dick could be in some trouble. My guess would be he goes up next week if Jen, Kail/Mike (whoever is left), Amber, Dustin or Jameka won HOH. Maybe even Eric, Jessica or Zach also as they seem to be playing the "go along with the majority" strategy right now. I think the only people who definitely wouldn't put him up are Daniele and Nick, and only Nick because Daniele would try and convince him not to.

I still do not understand the whole lying about her age. Does it really matter that she is 20 turning 21 this summer? Why shes making such a big deal about it is stupid. I cant wait for it to come out.

Jen and Dick talk so much shit about everyone lying yet they have been the biggest liers. Dick has a problem with people talking game on the sneak, but thats all he does.

Amber is annoying with her upside down lip. Just everything about her is annoying. From whispering in eveyones ear all the time, to that frown mouth, she seems to have peanut butter in her mouth with the way she is always moving it (like shes trying to chew or clean something out of her mouth) then she talks about her religion like she really follows it.

Eric, Jess and Jenn are by far my favorites now.

I'm enjoying the CBS show a lot even though I know what happens from watching the Showtime feed, and reading indymike's site. The music they play when Dick is about to stir things up is so 'Stone Cold'.

I have no idea who I like now - Dick and Danielle are just obnoxious and whiney for the sake of obnoxious and whiney - I think in one month America has learned why they were estranged. They are clearly suppose to be The Stars of the show, and they do make for some entertaining television, and at one point I did find myself caring about them, but too much...too much...

btw - from the feeds, the two of them were recently discussing backdooring Eric - asswipes!

Dustin and Amber also turned out to be tortuous - I laughed like a maniac when Dustin broke down crying in his diary room (I hope someone youtubed that) from Sunday night - and Amber's tears both annoy and entertain me.

Zach and Nick are just there to be stupid, and there is nothing fun about either of them - I hope CBS replays some of Nick's behavior with the whole tea spilling, because the guy was mad-psychoish - there can be only One Jedi-Howie, CBS programming - these two are just dumb.

Jameka and Kail - cracked me up that whenever they talked about God, CBS put in the organ music - neither of them entertain me, although Jameka came close last night with her talk of picking God's ball (yeah, I said it)

Jess and Jen - I've come back around on, and kind of enjoy - however, I need to remind myself of how annoying they were when they first came in - both are very Junior High with their emotional range - Jen is actually smart, while i think Jessica is a dumby - I need to keep remembering Jen's reactions to seeing her pictures, on both the memory wall and in her HoH room, however Dick is forcing me to side with her more and more - it would be a great reality tv show gimmick to have her win the whole thing.

Jen and Zach are the two nobody else likes, put them up. Putting up anyone else makes her a target for other people depending on what happens later. If they were going to go with a pawn, Dick makes the most sense but I think volunteering to do something like that could be a huge mistake at this point.

Seems like Dick and Daniele believe Eric is in a couple of secret alliances and may try and backdoor him if they can get the votes.

The whole America's Player concept wasn't really well thought out at all. They have people vote on Tuesday about who Eric needs to try and get eliminated, but then they make him vote that way even though things have completely changed in the days since the nominations were set. I would guess if they had a vote on Thursday as to who Eric should vote for, the results would come out different.

Jen is still really annoying, but she's not stupid. She just pissed off too many people early on and pretty much has no chance of winning because of it.

If I was Eric, I would admit to voting for Nick, as a pity/courtesy vote. It probably wouldn't have worked. Now, Dick and Danielle, should have come up with a plan to make it seem like Eric's vote didn't bother them, nominate Jen and Kail, while the plan would be to book Eric out the door after the Veto ceremony. Kail or Jen would feel safe as the 'pawn' once again, and I'm thinking the LNC would be divided, or at least Dick on the outs.

Welcome to 'reality' television. Said it before - this is why I love this show. Don't you think the production crew on EVERY reality show influences things just like this?

Remember Joe Millionaire? I think he admitted he knew who he wanted to pick within the first couple of days so he let the producers tell him who else to keep to make a better story line.

Picture Survivor - when a real pain in the ass castaway is ticking everyone off - might not the production crew say things to help keep the others from wanted to vote him or her off?

The live feeds is what lets us see behind the scenes - and that is what makes BB such a great 'show' - not the three 60 minute episodes - its the "24/7" live feeds (even if they aren't quite 24/7).

There is no such thing as 'reality' television - it is all influence or scripted to som extent.

Which will leave, maybe the dullest final final five ever, ever, ever...

Amber - Only chance she has is if Danielle or those others above somehow make it.

This is only based on what I've read, but it's my understanding that they don't have the votes to send Eric home. I think Dustin was trying to sell Daniele on the idea that Dick is making her look bad and she will go down with him unless she distances herself, but I don't think it worked.

I get the idea from indymike's page that Amber is the key vote on this Eric thing. She's going to be a complete mess if people from both sides start telling her who goes home is up to her.

My first night watching the show, it was on sho too, without knowing about Americas player I thought Eric could be the most annoying member of the house and thought he was not going to be able to be cool enough to last.

He won't last now.

I feel like a freakin idiot....

Last night / this morning Daniele and Dick managed, along with Amber, to convince Dustin to vote out Eric.

So now Amber and Jameka can stil vote for Kail and keep their promise and Eric will still leave.

What is Dustin getting in exchange? Dick and Daniele's promise now to nominate him next week IF (big IF) they get HoH next week.

They have now filled in Jameka and Jessica as well. So now Dick and Daniele are safe no matter who wins HoH next (and thus both make the jury) - BUT - if Jen or Zach win HoH then Dustin will probably be nominated.

Looks like another one of Big Brother's big gimmicks is going to backfire - every year they think they have a big twist to shake things up, and every year the dullards in the house manage to screw it up.

Already this year, the big twists of having "rivals" show up imploded - with the exception of Dick and Danielle - and now "America's Choice" is about ready to be bounced because he is a dumb ass and couldn't play the game cooler.

I think the problem is more with how they structured the America's Player thing and not who they chose. By making Eric vote out the person he was told to try and get evicted, he had to vote against the group and create all the tension when in reality he never would have voted that way. He got way too defensive when his name came up, but none of that would have happened if they would have set up a second America's vote on Thursday afternoon or just let Eric vote how he wanted to.

Amber (a 'long' time ago) told Eric, Dustin and Jameka that she had had 2 abortions and that she had in the past lied to her b/f and old him she had 2 more (4 total) in a move to make him feel bad.

Eric - at some point later - told Dick that he had some dirt on Amber that would turn everyone against her and he was keeping it in his back pocket in case he needed to use it against her - he never revealed what the dirt was however.

Last night Dick told Amber about Eric's threat and Amber knew what he was referring too and she is mad that Eric would get that personal.

Then today Amber found out that Eric was saying he knew Ambers vote was secure because she had sworn on her daughters life he was safe - she was mad at how cocky he was to be throwing that fact around.

That led to her blow up.

Eric apprently told Jen something like she was his number one. A phrase he used with a few people. There wasn't any 'official' alliance.

Well... Amber lied to Nick and said she didn't know he was getting put up. She has talked badly about others all the time (as does everyone else) - its hard to list 'lies' - but everyone lies in the house about "I want to go all the way with you" or "I could see us in the final four" - when you see Amber - or someone else completely re-hashing everything they have just discussed with another houseguest and making fun of them you certainly feel like they aren't being very honest.

Most of the houseguest this year have seen previous seasons, yet most have never seen the feeds - they still seem clueless - or they forget they are on mic.

I watched all of showtime last night and it just felt like Eric could get some people to flip. Most of the people that flipped were still talking to him and sounded bad that he was going home.

Also Dustins desire to be in control of his group probably helped Eric as Dustin knew if he switched everyone else would.

And Indy Mike, Danielle last night said she was told they couldnt take off the bunny suits until late at night AFTER the live show. My guess is they will be able to take them off during the showtime show.

For some reason, I think it was because R&F went to break, but I tuned into a few minutes of House Calls, and I was kinda disappointed. I figured it would be some kind of 'inside scoop' like the WCW Hotline was back in the day. But they took their first call and some girl brought up the JJAD Alliance had flipped their vote to keep Eric, and the host was shocked, and seemed to have no clue what was happening in the house. And Kaysar was kind of co-hosting since it's his birthday sometime this week (maybe today?).

the producers of the show might have to ask him to leave early. Hes too abrasive and now that he doesnt have any power people feel they can now speak their mind. Anyway Dick makes me sick. All he does is smoke and spit. CBS leaves the camera on him while hes smoking and spitting and making circles with the smoke etc. Hes just a filthy animal. Hes also non stop telling people how bad they are and that they are done, they have no friends etc. I cant believe he woke everyone up in the morning banging pots and pans. How old is he? Grow up, its a game, hes making it so personal. How cbs letting him do what hes doing is beyond me. Its not even good tv. I want to kick his ass so bad.

Ok, so Dick won the POV, and most likely save his daughter and fall on the sword.
Dustin has volunteered to go up on the block as a "pawn". Eric likes this idea because it helps him complete a task and gets Dustin nominated.

Now here is the situation. America will vote Dustin out, so will Zach and Danielle.
Jen, Amber, Jameka will vote out Dick, leaving it a tie, and Jessica will vote Dick to send him home.

I really hope Eric has some idea how America will vote, because the last thing he needs is to raise more suspicion if somehow this comes back tied. He should lay the foundation that it's possible, or they should do it intentionally to F with Dick, otherwise, he's going to look shady again, and he'll be gone in no time.

I'm not completely sure Jen would vote out Dick. In the past she's voted out who she thought was going home but things were never as completely divided as they are right now. She made her bed with Daniele, Zach and Dick (or was basically forced into it). Unless she tried to join the other group, and they don't really need or want her, I would guess she would vote to evict Dustin.

Part of me is glad the America's Player votes have completely turned on Eric and are just trying to fuck him up because it makes things interesting, but it's interesting for the wrong reasons. The All-Stars season didn't need all this crap and forcing people to vote against their interests.

Awww - ty for your concern and my apologies - had to take my oldest (14) to Indianapolis today for some medical stuff. He is fine and healthy as can be so no worries - but I was off the net all day and as much as I hate it, it is also nice to be free of worrying what is up and spending some quality time with one of my boys :)

The last two seasons they have had a week of double evictions. Thursday and Sunday (taped Friday).

I just don't know if/how they will do it with Big Brother after dark. The blocked the feeds from Thursday night to Sunday night during BB6 & 7. If they do the feeds on showtime and not the net a TON of people will be furious, if they do the feeds at all we will know who was evicted Friday.

They may just do another twist to get away with this - perhaps 3 noms - two votes per person - top two vote getters go home. Just thinking out loud here.
