I have had the hardest time trying to get together a list of people to send thank you cards to.... Why? because a lot of you just put your first names on the card and/or your board name.
Since I am at a loss of what to do... I am just going to list them on everysite and hope you see that we both loved and appreciated your cards/gifts/well wishes.
THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF OUR HEARTS!!!!!

My laptop died a horrible death last week and dave's is screwed too. (it's working but the USB ports won't register.... according to my tech friends.... it's not fixable) So I have nowhere to upload the pics!!
It was insane.
Dave decided to dress like hunter thompson... complete with hat and glasses.
We ran into a few fans of the show too.... which was completely odd but really cool.
We saw Pam Anderson in some shitty magic show. We lost money. We did all the touristy shit. We DRANK. We ate great food. Best three days ever.
Highlight you ask? When "proud to be an american" was the song being used for the bellagio water show thing... and dave and I rolled our eyes and walked away.
Maybe ya had to be there.

oddity, or meaningless coincidence? :)
for cheap drinking, go to a sports book and bet on horses and reap the free drinks while waiting for your $5 bet for 3-4 hours.

Cheap fuckers!
When your on vacation you need to go and do what you want to do. Not do what is cheapest.
As for the Barbory Coast. That place is a great place to gamble. I have been to Vegas 10 times maybe even more and that was the first place I stayed at. My father was a huge gambler and would get comp rooms in AC. Eventually they started to send him on all expense piad trips to Vegas. At First they paid for a regular coach flight and his rooms at the Barbory Coast. Then it started getting better. The last time we went out with him before he died. They paid for my father and 6 others in my family to fly out first class, we all had our own rooms and every meal was free the whole week and limo service on call, show tickets for free. The first night we got there my dad won $20k in half hour. I forget what he ended up winning or losing on this trip but I know I lost $2500. But I didnt care b/c I had a great trip with my family and now that hes gone its one more great memory of my dad.
This was all free thanks to Paris Hilton! (Hilton Las Vegas picked up the tab for everything)

so, don't be cheap, but "my trip was free". odd.
See my trip was free b/c my family isnt cheap and gambles large amounts for long amounts of times. They give you free stuff without asking or without trying to be cheap when you actually spend first and prove your worth to them. And with the way my father gambled it made it that much easier for my play, my brothers and my Uncles to get rated and treated well.

Glad to hear you had a great time!! Congratulations again.
Your family isn't cheap well well. Thats nice for your family. I also like how you need to tell everyone, look at me, my family has money. Your father was given a free trip because of his gambleing and you took advantage of it. You sir paid nothing and contributed nothing to get that comp. So please spare us the lecture on being cheap.

Is this some post-marriage slang for the act of "romance" (as ESD puts it) of which I have heretofore been unaware?
If so, it would explain my married yuppie friends affinity for the US Open.

I would like to thank 2 people, but why in hell should I.
Dave good luck, glad I made your moment in the sun possible and you have no reason why.
It is nice to see how much is thought of the old friends on the show while piss ass nobodies who worked on the show on X/m 2 seconds. You unfortunately have a lot to learn about the business and who gets invited to important things in your life. I have never met your lovely bride, but it doesn't matter one bit who you know, have met or maybe heard of. A little research to the past few years and incarnations and hometown friends,I thought.
See who set the ground work up here for a person to try and succeed, and even if the result is less than positive a hand reaching out of the past selfishly should never be forgotten. No one knows you have even been offered guidance and help off the air, as a peer, cohort and in a family sense brother. Someone who was willing to put any physical or other issues at bay to come up there and show you what a leader does and what alder does to show respect.RESPECT goes a long way in this business and a short way typing resumes.
I do hope that your lovely bride has been informed of your plans for what you are going to be doing post-merger. I am sure it was discussed.
I hope that you both have a lovely time and a successful listener event was pulled off.

I miss drunk, slurring, passing out, Billy!
I miss well, Ok...I don't think its right to all you Friday, you are at least the whole weekend, so for now on you are anointed Weekend and will only be referred to as such by me and anyone else who cares to or wonders why yo thought you're opinion was necessary. I can quit drinking, but it don't mean you can learn to sing

Wow! I didn't know this was a personal grievance board Billy. And Friday(weekend) just settle the F down. Let's talk about XM Radio on line only channel 154.
It's just plain weirdness.

Billy.....I was just expressing, like Hot Tub, the aspects of Billy that I missed!
Sorry if you take offense, but that is a big part of what defined you in the eyes of this WNEW listener. Please don't turn this into more than what it is. And I forgive you for any unwarranted insults to me.
If it makes you feel better, I also miss Billy getting hit with paintballs and Billy playing softball with RonFez.net. Oki?? Have a great day!
We now return to our regularly scheduled Thank you and Your Welcome Thread.....

Without starting a whole thing Billy, I just want to know what consideration you feel was not extended to you? From all the hype built up to the wedding it was an open invite to anyone who would RSVP. What was your expectation? That in addition to this they should have sought you out personally and invited you? I'm mainly just curious to what you expected. I'm not being critical but rather I'm trying to understand what you're getting at with your statement.

Mazel Tov...now break the fucking glass
Peace be with you

I
Love ya, Billy, and I've always been supportive of the Five Letter Man, but I think you're way off base here. From what I can tell you're angry that you weren't invited to the wedding. Want to know who got actually invited to the wedding? Relatives and close friends of the bride and groom. Really, that's it. Not old producers, not board regulars, not show friends. Everyone else who wanted to go was able to request a spot on the guest list. If you wanted to go, you could have sent in a request to be included, just like I did, and just like hundreds of others did. Ultimately it was a real wedding, and its better to wish the bride and groom well than to worry about some perceived slight from not getting an invitation to an event that you didn't even know about until I told you about it after the fact.
You also seem to be complaining about a lack of acknowledgment for the foundation you laid as a producer of the show. In case you've forgotten, Dave was a fan long before he was officially affiliated with the show. It's not as if he logged time as AP for "The Dutch and Fergo Show" in small market piss town before joining the show. He does have a sense of the show's history. Every time I've conversed with him about it, he's had nothing but respect and appreciation for the work done on the show by the likes of Al Dukes, Mikey D, and yourself back in the WNEW days when he first became a fan. I think you're letting this non-slight color your judgment.
It is nice to see how much is thought of the old friends on the show while piss ass nobodies who worked on the show on X/m 2 seconds.
I'm not sure if this is reference to Dave, or to the interns who worked their asses off on the event, or a former intern like Paulie who was there because he requested a ticket. If it refers to Dave, I'll just let you know that Dave has now been working for the show for a year and a half. Yes, you were there longer, but not by a ton.
No disrespect intended, Billy. I've got nothing but respect for you personally and for your role on the show. I just felt like I needed to set the record straight on a few things.

So you enjoy a former producer who lies more than Earl, Drank more than Davey does (or actually drinks less and gets way more inebriated), and visits message boards to post disrespectfully towards a bride and groom, yet cannot handle any ribbing on his character at all. Interesting.
It has been proven time and time again, that if you are going to offer yourself up to 'the arts',that you will have to sacrifice your own ego repeatedly in pursuit of the dream. You will also have to endure endless criticism, not only of the work but of the SELF. And in this criticism you must face the TRUTH. Some of us can face these demons and come out as better people. Al Dukes, for instance... used his Ron and Fez years to propel him onward. Rory... and countless others. These are all performers and producers... people who have the business mind and the actors angle. The right stuff to succeed.
I respect Dukes. I respect anyone who takes their time in one position, and utilizes it to boost them to the next level.
Just my $.02.
Davey may seem like a heel at times, but I believe he has the stuff.
I don't think I am alone.
So Congrats Davey on a fantastic marriage. And Best Wishes, Casey, on a long and happy partnership. I look forward to singing with you in the future!

yeah well, maybe I have a sore spot about weddings, that whole Luke and Laura thing and Scotty trying to break it up, well has ruined things forever for me I think.
When did it not be OK to speak your mind about the subject at hand,if you agree or not is not the point.......just posting your feelings on a subject
Mikeyboy, dear Mikey...someday all this will be yours "what the curtains" and all the rest of Swamp Castle #3 that is sinking into the swamp as we speak, or as they did, some 20-30 years ago, slow sinker I guess.
I don't even know most of these people you speak of and trust me, I know very well of Dave's past and abilities and no need for his whole resume to be backed by you. I totally respect what you say and always have, but aren't you being a little gestapo tactic like here...Hey I could be wrong and God knows have been wrong before.so who knows
My dear weeke....Ok Friday.....you are 100% correct when you are on the air everything is up for grabs, nothing sacred, but oh wait a minute......i think i see something, yes, there it is,ahhhh hhhhaaaa....guess who isn't on the air anymore
so I don't think thats right and we went tit for tat and you win in that battle
Something around here has gotten very short http://http://tbn0.google.com/images?q=tbn:knVKyj0vxQMjkM:http://www.fotosearch.com/thumb/csk/CSK252/KS16920.jpg
I made my amends in my own particular idiom and it remains no ones business but mines and the amendee.Marriages are not tattoos, they don't last forever, lets hope this tattoo lasts
at least longer than the 'look boss the plane tattoo"
Anyway am not on the air right now, very true, if i was what would be different....ahhhh open for personal attacks again...well if so be prepared to take it right back at ya
RIP the old Billy Staples
Mazel Tov to a brand new slightly damaged brand new baby boy Staples, who wants his fucking diaper changed now...bunch of pussies i swear to God. Oh don't say anything bad. I fucking punched the best mans brother in the mouth at my sisters wedding so do you think my personal opinion ranks high on my list know
Luke and Laura
my sister's brother-in-law
Effmee and Pootertoot (personal reasons)
so I bid you a fond adieu and lets go back to the tranquility of the commune where there is love everywhere, a tribal spirit man where man it ain't cool to say things like that man,its a day of joy and the harmony of the sun and the stars man can't ya just feel the grip of nature pulling these 2 souls together like a cosmic magnet man,far out a magnet from outer space that came all this way to our little piece of earth that is our place, our mother earth dig it, so feel the drain of the magnet pulling your souls and bodily juices and Aura of rainbow like precision into one, oh man I can see it now, look the sun captures every moment like a brand new Polaroid with a smile Anthe sun's face as joy is creeping into all mankind with this union of earthy identities one wit the universe souls.for all mankind ,wow, shit too bad Staples missed this man

There's nothing wrong with posting your opinions. I have trouble reading them because I'm a native English speaker, but I did my best.
I think it was shitty to post this in a thread started by Casey to thank people. Just make a new thread with your anti-wedding opinions or whatever. Rather than shitting on someone else's parade create a shit parade. Know what I mean?
