Robber disguised as tree hits N.H. bank

<!-- END HEADLINE --> <!-- BEGIN STORY BODY --> Sun Jul 8, 2:54 PM ET

Leaf it to New Hampshire, where a bank branch was held up by a man disguised as a tree.
Just as the Citizen Bank branch opened Saturday morning, a man walked in with leafy boughs duct-taped to his head and torso, and robbed the place.
"He really went out on a limb," police Sgt. Ernie Goodno said Sunday.
Police said the leafy man didn't saying anything about having a weapon, just demanded cash, and was given an undisclosed amount.
Although the branches and leaves obscured much of the man's face, someone who saw images from the bank's security camera recognized the robber and called police.
Officers said James Coldwell, 49, was arrested early Sunday at his Manchester home and charged with robbery. Arraignment was not expected until Monday.

I wood think a guy trying to pull something like this is just nuts. I mean to pine away at the idea of robbing a bank dressed like that....just silly!!

"Police said the leafy man didn't saying anything about having a weapon"

Or maybe he did, but there was no one there to hear it.

When the robber demanding the money, the teller responded 'Hey, don't bark orders at me'.

Bank Robbery is old fashioned and is fading away as currency goes digital. Bank Robbers are playing one-upmanship to attract younger hipper recruits. From the diaper wearing bandits to men dressed as women in Burka's, now all those topped by a crimas tree bandit. What's next, robbers wearing plastic masks of ex-presidents?

When Bill Clinton was first running for president I remember reading a brief article about his half-sister that no one talks about. Apparently she was a waitress at a lunch counter in a small town, I not sure if it was in Arkansas.

So one day she walks across the town square, like half a block, and robs the bank. With no disguise. Then she goes back to work. Of course, everyone in the bank knows her so she wasn't hard to find.

She was kept under wraps during the campaign.

I Wonder If Swamp Thing Was Brought In For Questioning After The Bank Was Robbed?

why the man dressed like a tree leaves me stumped

this whole thing stems from the poor economic conditions of the country

maybe he needed the money to buy some rings?

he's gonna be a poor old sap when hes in prison

I wonder why he chose that specific Citizen Bank branch

This really supports my idea of pruning society and weeding out the bad eggs

They have announced that the suspected robber has a website:

EDIT:
There was never a link to any Bob Leafe related websites here.

The joke was funnier that way, by that way I mean the way I DIDN'T do it, which would be linking a Bob Leafe-esque website, which i do not condone in any way shape or form. I'm sorry for what I did

But there was no way I was going to link it. Remember what Carter said?:banning:
