So I Broke Up With My Chick...again...

thats right folks.

heres the deal.
we were supposed to go to florida for vacation next week and stay at my dads new house down there to save some cash. then my step mom got breast cancer. she wants to stay at the house in fla to take her chemo. fine with me. its her half house, her chemo...whats the problem i say! i go home and tell my chick that, and start suggesting other ideas. she gets angry/sad/disappointed and runs in the other room crying. i try to tell her its no big deal and to stop crying and it escalates to a huge fight. i then take her to my office to look up hotel prices and she proceeds to bitch and moan and further push the fight and by this time im pissed so im done with holding back and i decide its time to end this thing. we get to my office and she says she wants to go home. so i start to go to the car and try to get her to go outside so i can put the alarm on, she wont go. so now i have to push her out the door, now keep in mind im not pushing her violently i just have my hand on her back guiding her along, and she turns around and pushes me over a desk! thats when i push her out the door and take her home (my house) i told her to pack her shit and get the fuck out cuz i dont want to be around this bullshit any more. 3 crying, screaming, protesting and arguing hours later, she did.

i seriously dont want to ever speak to her again. this is the 1000th time she has turned a minor issue into a violent argument but i dont wanna go into details . we obviously need to get away from eachother before it turns really ugly and something bad happens to both of us.

discuss? advise?

P.S. i realize what forum i am in so dont move it cuz i need a laugh.

First of all... if this girl cannot be understanding and flexible when it comes to a Family issue then she is not worth fighting for. Period. Family comes first, even when it is a step-parent - keep in mind I am not sure how close you are to her... and I am assuming here that you are somewhat close with your dad.

Second of all... I agree with Nick here. You have to be strong and make sure that this is a decision you will be able to stand behind. Because you know that she will be coming back to you with explanations and excuses and promises. It sounds to me like she has alot of growing up to do - because her behaviour is that of someone who has no idea who she is or what she wants. Or how to react under stress... lol (I speak from experience!)

When she does come back... you will have some serious territory defending to do.
But in the long run, I think it will be worth it. This is a time to live... try new things.
If it is the real thing, then it will be there once you both have spent some time on your own.

His ex-wife was outside, tried to set my uncle's car on fire, (well...actually it was my mom's car but he was borrowing it) and the insulation on the hood kept the fire from spreading. Since she failed at that, she got a baseball bat...used her key to get in and was standing over him and took a swing at him. For some reason, he woke up right before she took that swing and moved quickly.

No matter how much she apologizes or cries - this whole "making a mountain out of a molehill" will never get better. If you take her back, you are essentially giving her permission to treat you like shit. Just remember that everytime you are feeling lonely or sad about the break up.

Everytime you feel yourself softening toward her - know that if you let her in again - she will do the same shit over and over.

I'm really sorry about your step-mom and hope everything turns out okay. (that should have been your gf's #1 concern - not hotel prices).

i wanna thank everyone who is contributing advice and keeping my spirits up with funny shit (which is why this is not in "Thats Life"!) its pretty hard to deal with telling someone you loved for almost 3 years to "get the fuck out of my life" but you guys are really helping me deal with it. everyones advice has been very helpful and everytime i start to feel down or depressed about what im losing, i start to actually get excited about all the things i will never have to deal with again and all the things i am going to gain in the long run!

well she is supposed to come over today and pick up the rest of her stuff. i didnt have time to box it nup cuz i was helping my brother move all weekend. im having my friend come over to play referee in case she gets crazy. shes been texting "i love you" and "i miss you" messages to me all weekend. im really starting to go crazy. its just making me feel so guilty.

You should never feel guilty about taking care of yourself. The worst thing you could do for the two of you is get back into a relationship that you do not want to be in. You'll be lying to her, and you will be miserable. You are doing whats best for her as well as yourself.

As long as messing up the bed means tossing some pillows around and pulling off the sheets, yeah thats fine, but if you're still sleeping with her, its going to lead to problems. You should avoid doing anything with her that could be seen as 'relationship' stuff. To you it could be meaningless hooking up, but she's going to think it means something else, even if you tell her flat out that it doesn't.

Trust me. I know the "don't want her, but don't want anyone else to have her" feeling all too well, my friend. Drove me to drink everyday, which drove her to hate me more and more.

At the end of the day, only you know if she's "the one" or not.
Playing with that "possession" feeling is just going to prolong things, and make things more complicated.

If you're as ready to move on as you say you are, do it.

thats the thing, it really wasnt that hard, it was just the moment she walked in the door i wanted to fuck her so hard she would be crying cum. it wasnt like an emotional bullshitfest. it was just raw wanting to fuck her like it was the last day on earth.
