Sinec I have been a kid I always said "make pretend" instead of "make believe".
I know its wrong, but I cant stop myself.

Two questions:

1) Do you still "make pretend" anything?

2) Do you find you are incapable of saying the right phrase/word when you know you are saying it wrong? (ie, saying "expecially" instead of "especially")

Not in the That's Life forum!!!!!!

But anyway, I don't sit around and pretend like I did as a kid. Like just deciding I was gonna act like a cowboy for a few hours or some shit like that. Maybe I don't fully understand the question.

I want to slap every single person that says "liberry" and "aks".

But I never made pretend, I always just made believe. Probably way too much, judging by the way I am now.

I hate when people say "for all intensive purposes" instead of "for all intents and purposes."

Also, when people use "should of" instead of "should have" as in "I should have gone with Mom to the store."

"should of" does not mean anything!!!!

Given the vein of some of your other posts, I thought you were going to ask us if we ever pretended our lovers were someone else in bed...

When writing yes its a mistake, but speaking i always thought people were saying Should've which is a correct contraction.

my sisters live in MD now and people around there have a bad habit of saying "might should". Like: "I'm not feeling well, I might should go to the doctor"

"at my work" rather than "at my job" or "where i work" or "at work" always gets me wondering for our future for some reason.

my well educated in-laws refer to 'loaning' somebody something as 'borrowing' them something. " I borrowed him twenty dollars"

yes, but even speaking, it is SHOULD + HAVE instead of "SHOULD OF." Being a homonym, even colloquially, does not make to=too=two anymore than "Should've" = "Should Of."

And Yes I pretend I am happy, I pretend my life has purpose and meaning, and I pretend I really matter, and I pretend I will make a difference, and I pretend I will be remembered at all.

Did I miss anything?

I also do not know the "number one or number two" reference. I always have to ask, "which one is shitting?".

Two of mine are when people pronounce the word probably as "prolly"

and

I'll probably catch heat for this, but when Ronnie says "anymore" and the way in which he says it in sentences. Such as "It makes me wonder why they do that anymore", I know it's casual, it's not a big deal but I do get stuck on that at times when he says that anymore.

I get bugged when people say the word

HEIGTH instead of Heigt when they are measuring heigh and width

Height is the measurement of vertical distance along the vertical (y) axis between a specified point and another point, within the same plane of reference. With this point of reference, the measurement is commonly known as how "tall" something is.

I always called it make believe, I guess.

I don't have too many words who's pronunciation I can't control but I do stumble over me words...

I always try to make a small joke and then forget a word in it so that I'm stuck explaining what I was trying to say and making me look like a dork.

I a DOrk!!
