Mitt Wins (http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,293003,00.html). Now I'm a Conservative Republican, and should be dancing for joy this guy won. But for some reason-lately I just don't trust him. Or any of 'em. Is it me, or am I just comparing the current candidate crop to what is in the White House and just plain scared of getting scammed again by a "conservative" that spends all my money and abuses my military? I'd like Guiliani to win too, but he really is way off the chart liberal for being a Republican, and we got screwed in New Jersey by voting for Christy Whitman for governor because she was more conservative then the Democrat Challenger. She turned out to be a RINO, and Guiliani may be one too.
Thompson is clearly a no go with me. He is a cheap suit filled with conservative rhetoric. Anyone that falls for him being "conservative" after 8 years of the same empty suit doing the same bs crap in the White House that Thompson is doing in the campaign, is a "hayseed" as Ronnie puts it.

What's the big deal with Iowa? It's a piece of shit state with nothing of value, even the surrounding states suck, yet for some reason it's considered important in the presidential race. Anyway, Romney sucks, vote Ron Paul.

Why should you be happy Mitt Romney won? He's the biggest transparent phony in politics in quite some time. And that's saying a hell of a lot.

I think there are some interesting things about this straw poll (http://desmoinesregister.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20070811/NEWS/70811009/1001&lead=1):

1. Mitt Romney 4,516 31.6%
2. Mike Huckabee 2,587 18.1%
3. Sam Brownback 2,192 15.3%
4. Tom Tancredo 1,960 13.7%
5. Ron Paul 1,305 9.1%
6. Tommy Thompson 1,039 7.3%
7. Fred Thompson 203 1.4%
8. Rudy Giuliani 183 1.3%
9. Duncan Hunter 174 1.2%
10. John McCain 101 0.7%
11. John Cox 41 0.3%

1. McCain: Will you just stop it now?
2. Huckabee: This is a huge move for Huckabee. I said it awhile ago....Mike Huckabee is real.
3. Participation is low. Organizers were shooting for 20,000 voters in the straw poll....yet got only 14,000 votes. Is this a sign of how beat up the Republicans are right now?

Let me make a psychic prediction:

The candidates who did well or better than expected will say the straw-poll is important and shows our support is strong or better than predicted and will lead to a win for the White House.

The candidates who didn't do well will say the straw poll isn't important and/or since we didn't put any time or resources into Iowa we're pleased the results.
