Ignorance and being ignorant isn't a slam on you. Ignorance just means that you do not have the facts on a subject or do not know. Ignorance is not a bad thing, it's just how you take it.

It is what it is. A few of the movies I like a lot. A couple I wouldn't put anywhere my favorites. A handful I don't have strong feelings about either way. I was really just more curious as to what a person who has never heard of a Coen Brothers movie watches, rather than looking to critique your list.

I hadnt heard of the Coen Brothers movies until todays show, or I have seen them and not known. I play hockey with the producer of the Farley brothers movies.

are you trying to imply that Im ignorant?
All I'm saying is that Mikey questioned your TASTE because you never HEARD of a Coen brothers movie. As I don't think everyone has the AFI and IMDB in the back of their heads, it's mote a case of ignorance (literally, you DIDN'T KNOW) about the Coen brothers.
I can say that I didn't LIKE Fargo, but I can't say that I don't like the Coen Brothers because I haven't seen more of their work.
Wait - Hudsucker Proxy - was that Coens? I did like that.

It was more along the lines of Eli's explanation, while not being aware of any of the Coen Brothers's movies is an ignorance, if you're tastes go beyond popcorn fare, you're likely at least be aware of at least one of the Coen Brothers movies if a list of them is read off to you (not any kind of mental imdb search).
Hudsucker Proxy is Coen brothers. So are Big Lebowski, Miller's Crossing, O Brother Where Are Thou, and Raising Arizona.

The show's been over for 2 hours.
I keed. We should pull up a Coen thread and continue there. Discussions going on in listening threads tend to go away for ever.

And more recently, Intolerable Cruelty and The Ladykillers, which while their merits may be debateable (I really liked Intolerable Cruelty), got plenty of publicity going in.

Wait, am I the only one, who when hearing Best Of's, rushes to the show log, finds the date of the Best Of, and then check out the relevant listening thread, and relive the show all over again?
