Sodomy usually means anal sex, but I think it can be so broad as to include oral sex, penetration by a foreign object or any "abnormal sex." Those crazy sodomy laws in the hayseed states also included oral, I think. My guess: he diddled her with a broom handle.

A $1,000 bounty is being offered to find the sexual predator who molested an Astoria, Queens, woman he dragged into an alley at knifepoint.
The 27-year-old victim walked to a neighborhood deli Sunday night for some juice and was jumped as she walked along 26th St. near Ditmars Ave. about 11 p.m.
Her attacker held a knife to her neck and stole her cash and credit cards. Then he dragged her into a nearby alley on 26th St., and at knifepoint forced her to kneel and perform oral sex.
She was able to get free of her attacker when a passing car's headlights spooked the molester, police said.
