View Full Version : Violent Dreams

I've had violent dreams before but usually I am the victim and am running away from the villian.
In last night's dream I was in a group of thieves, crooks, or whatever they might be called.
It was very Bonny and Clyde like.
There was a group of us all in a car and we stole all of these computers and equipment. We all ran out of the building and jumped in the car to escape. ( I did one of those cool jump from behind the car and climb in through the sun roof moves) and Chris who looked different but was there drove the car.
We were going ridiculously fast and I remember the feel of the car turning to avoid the cars very sharply.
Then we arrived at a building(i'm not sure why) and went upstairs. A few minutes late we discovered that there were people stealing the stuff we stole out of our trunk. So we all ran after them and I caught a guy.
And this is where it gets disturbing for me.
We were in a bedroom of one of the apartments in the buliding when we caught them.I tried to punch him but missed, so I tripped him and started bashing his head into the leg of the bed in the room.
I was just straight up kicking his head into a pole. It was gross. And then I picked up two of the boxes (one in each arm with my apparent awesome strength) and ran downstairs.
I then woke up very disturbed that I would ever hurt someone let alone be a crook.
?
Any thoughts? I believe that dreams mean something, even though it may not mean it directly. I could be needing something in my life I feel I have to steal to get? I don't know.

Maybe you wanted to kick the shit out of those peeps that stole your computer a couple of months back. Whatever happened to them anyway?

Oh wow. That's true.
But I was stealing too... hmm.
Nothing ever happened with them. Some people are assholes.

What have you been watching lately?? Movies, t.v. shows etc. Or what type of videogames (if you play any) did you play recently? Read or watch anything before you went to sleep???
Basically why do you think you had that theme of stealing things and getting away?
Dreams have multiple meanings sometimes.

This obviously represents your fear of bedposts.
That man's head was your nearest weapon to attack your natural enemy.
Time to get a blow up mattress.

Leticia,
I have been told that usually violent dreams means you are taking your frustrations on things you are trying to do in the real world out on your psyche.
The violence against someone or something is your way of mentally 'beating your head against a brick wall'.
But who knows...that person could be wrong.
Are you going thru anything frustrating right now?

Ron mentioned the other day (or it may have been one of the best of's) about how he had trouble hitting people in dreams. I've had the same thing. It's like my arm is very very heavy, and I can't really get a good swing. Weird shit.

Actually I am going through some frustrating shit.
I need to find another job, horribly. And other stupid things like not being able to find a wedding dresses. I hate shopping for dresses in general and I've gone to 4 stores and found nothing. Wedding dress shopping is so much work, and I just want to find a friggin dress already.
But what is really scary is that I had another dream last night. It was even more violent. (which puts me in reccuring violent dreams mode) .
There where two guys and a girl that I apparently lived with. The girl went crazy and stabbed one of the guys, then she stabbed the other one... then she stabbed herself and before dropping to the floor she stabbed the wall and fell.
Sooo creepy. Then I started leaving and I saw that she was starting to get up, as if she came back because she remembered she hadn't finished or something.
Then ran downstairs, saw one of my fiancee's friends for some reason and I told him he could not go upstairs and that it was a long and horrible story and we had to get away.
I was afraid that the police wouldn't believe me when I told them what really happened.
And then the fucking craziest shit happened.
The dream reset itself
It started all over again except I think I ran as soon as I saw her.
And then I had the dream again!!!!!
And I woke up so fucking scared and my heart was beating like crazy and it took me half an hour to even think about going back to sleep.
This is really insane. I have some real shit I have to deal with..... or something man.

I woke up one Sunday morning having a lovely dream about my girl that I don't remember but it was a pleasant one... and when I woke up early, I was all loving, and stuff, and doting on her and made her eggs 'n' bacon with some coffee and sat with her. Then she had to go to Home Depot, and I was still tired, so I went back to sleep.
I dreamt that I was a bouncer at a strip club and then found out that my chick worked there. I don't know why I wouldn't know this if I was some guy who always worked at a strip club, but it was some big revelation to me and I was distinctly bothered over it. Later on, I evidently disrespected some guy who then ran after me pulled out a gun and points it at my face. I grab his wrist, and in true movie fashion, manage to pull his hand out of the way fast enough to make his aim go off the mark, and my head gets grazed by a bullet. Then, in yet more movie style fashion, I somehow wrest the gun from him, and blast his leg into industrial hamburger.
I don't know what I was gonna be doing with this chap because right then and there my girl woke me up again. And I remember at first being all pissed off because I was still half asleep... and was all to myself in my heart of hearts "I know what you do!! I know (sob)"
Ace Ventura-style shower later and I was back to my senses.
I think it had something to do with me watching Fargo the night before.

Be sure to tell all of this to Ron, on the air. He'll find it very exciting.

I don't think so. It could have just been something you saw that day on TV or online that scared/affected you that you repressed for whatever reason, and then it comes out in your dreams. Thats often how it works with me. Its like your brain gets wound tight during the day and unwinds as you sleep. It just seems weird because dreams are always . . . . so . . uh . . dream-like, but usually thats where it comes from with me. I can think back to the day before and go "Oh yeah! Thats why I dreamt that!"

I actually have looked back and said, that's why I dreamt that. I hadn't seen anything bad on TV or online. Actually the day was quite nice for me.
But proving that I can llook back at a dream, I realize that it was the night before my first day at Ron and Fez, so I was, as Californians would say, hella nervous.
So I was really panicked about it. But the actualy content of the dream will need more evaluation.
I do honestly believe that dreams mean something. If they do not come from our own subconscious, where do they come from?

my brother had a dream that i was big spider and he killed me by hitting me in the head with a bottle and then i turned back into myself ( a little spider - teehee ) actually into my human self
my worst dreams in the past have been dreaming about waking up in the middle of the night to realize there is an intruder in the house. i'd have the cold sweats and the shivers when i woke up
my one friend had a dream that he was having doggie-style sex with a girl but as the head turned around it was actually his brother he was fucking - still makes me laugh
