What were Ron and Fez talking about today when they said they don't bet with listeners anymore because the listeners do not follow through the payoff? Anyone remember the bet?

There was a football bet that Fez had with a listener who reneged when the Bucs won, but did not cover the spread. There was some bad feeling and unpleasantness over what constituted a "gentlemen's bet."

Ron and Fez don't like to fight with listeners, except for Friday, RexDart, Bobo, Mikey, Lenay, Crazy Jen, Elfish, Vinnie Chase, Sheepy, Frietag's old name, or Hosp.

I wanted to bet pinks against Anthony for his Ford GT but they have the same policy. Stupid alcoholic Canadians.

I think the reason is because of the stupid Elfish nonsense. Not that the bet didn't have payoff, but that the bit didn't have any payoff. It just kept goin and goin double or nothing week after week. Eventually Fez had to take him to Graceland but it lasted so long that it became hard to follow and kinda confused everyone.

the beginning and the end were. But when you are supposed to have some payoff every monday and don't for a long time, it get's kinda where it can't be good enough to make up for the hype. Like most movies or boxing matches.

Actually every time Fez lost I looked forward to Monday's show. Just the annoyance in Ron's voice, Fez trying to keep the bet going and Elfish calling in to collect. I loved every week of that bet.
