How do you position yourself while cutting your toenails?

I sit on the floor kind of indian style and lay a towel under my foot and I use this kind of clipper to catch the clippings:

I then shake out the towel in a garbage can.

My wife does it outside, bending forward with one foot on a bench, letting the clippings fall on the grass. (In warmer weather obviously)


As I age, it is getting more uncomfortable to contort myself to do this easily. Anyone else finding this?

Similar to Blackbird's chick, but I am sitting on a patio chair. Outside as long as the weather permits. Too cold, old newspaper.

Too much work to do it the way you guys do it. I do it in bed and just let the shards fall where they may. Its all natural after all.

But yeah, I clip em on my bed too...but I either sweep them up with my hand or break out the dustbuster...sometimes both.

I sit on the john and rest the foot I'm clipping on my other thigh with the waste basket right underneath to catch the clippings (of course, most nails go flying off in another direction).

I don't clip my toenails.
I just let them grow out until they get brittle and break off.
