Urge to kill fading

Sunday I quit smoking. So its been 4 whole days. My lungs are starting to feel a little better and im a little cranky but overall its not as hard as I thought.

I encourage you all to quit, you can do eeit!

Keep it up, Gwenny. I quit cold turkey in March after having smoked 1 & 1/2 to 2 packs of Marlboros a day for 17 years. It only gets harder as time goes on...don't lapse! It's been 8 months of non-smoking for me, and I feel great!

I smoked for 14 years, Marlboro Reds. One day I was at a wedding with my girlfriend (now my wife) and she had a few too many champagnes and said that my smoke breath reminded her of her old boyfriend. It was at that moment that I quit. Cold Turkey. It sucked for 3-4 days and then got better. It was and is hard to keep off the cancer sticks, you should be proud.

Word of advice: Try not going to bars for the first month or so because you'll be so tempted by all the smokers there.

Congratulations Gwen, you're a quitter, in the best sense of the word. Keep it up!

seeing as to how this board is posted. I would like to anounce that as of last week... I have not had a cigaret... most likely the reason as to why I've been a bit of a meanie. Im trying hard avoided hanging out with people who smoke cigarets for a bit... iwhc will be hard cause my sister smokes.
Gwen I just wanted to let you. know that Im there with you. sux that I no longer have a special name beucase I can't be you lighter man no more.

I saw that thing about light cigs on the fox 5 ten o'clock news. it wasn't very informative. and those truth commercials dont really bother me. however, i always crack up when i see those commercials whose slogan is "tobacco is wacko if youre a teen"
