66 years ago the Japanese attacked our Navy in Peral Harbor, Hawaii. It should be remembered. I've been to Pearl Harbor and it was a pretty powerful experience. If anyone has the opportunity you need to take advantage and go see the USS Arizona with its gun turrets still protruding from the water.

thoughts and prayers........
anyway, pearl harbor was bad
bombing people is bad
unless they're muslim apparently.
i wonder if any countries have days like this that symbolize a time where we unsuspectingly bombed them......

You know growing up watching wrestling and a guy would get sneak attacked from behind they would say he was Pearl Harbored?
Do you think there will ever be a time when the same thing happens they would say he was 9/11'ed?

Who exactly has forgotten Pearl Harbor? Almost every news website I've gone to today has a Pearl Harbor memorial image.

Good point. I will say there were a fair amount of Japanese folks at Pearl Harbor when I was there last year ago tomorrow. I asked my chick(s) (long story) if they thought Americans went to Hiroshima and/or Nagasaki (sp?) when they went to Japan.

FUCK the Japanese...I have ZERO sympathy for the "victims" of Hiroshima and Nagasaki
I reserve my sympathy for the victims of Nanking, and countless other massacres in China, and I reserve my sympathy for the American civillians murdered on Wake Island, and I reserve my sympathy for the citizens of Hong Kong, and Manila, and Singapore

I've got plenty of sympathy for the hundreds of thousands of Japanese civilians killed with the completely unecessary atom bomb droppings and the firebombings the preceded them. I'm not exactly why they should be "fucked" for the attrocities of the Japanese government and military, but hey, we won, so our military's attrocities are A-OK. Good ol' fog of war.
