I just got a call from my girl that a friend of her ex who later became obsessed with her has been calling her over the last hour. She doesn't want me to call him but she wants a sense of security because she is freaked out. What do I do?

How insistent is she that you don't call him?

she wont give me his number...I understand that she doesnt want him to have my number but I would prefer to just call him tell him to knock it off and move on with my life

If she won't give you the number, then there's not much you can do. Try to convince her that you'll handle it right. Tell you you'll block your number. If you get the number, don't be threatening. Talk rationally, but try to use a tone that makes him feel weak and pathetic, without you actually saying it.

Make sure she knows that you want to help her, but you can't in your current situation.

If she's calling you and complaining, yet won't let you do anything about it, you must be incredibly frustrated.

If I were able to call him I would be calm and cool but if he was shitty and decided to be a bitch about it I might have to text him this "you are number nine...keep it up."

Don't forget to tell him you appreciate all the good times he provides on the show, but your girl doesn't go for guys who only wear black.

This prick may be just interested in your girl, or maybe he's pushing it and threatening her. You need to find out which. Also, your chick maybe flipping an attention trip and trying to start a fight, or she maybe irrationally sees this guy as a threat, or its exactly as she says. You need to know exactly what is going on before doing anyhting rash.

well this guy is a friend of her ex from 5 years ago and has never really returned into her life. I dont feel a threat from him and he lives 3 hours away. However she is returning home over break (where he is and I wont be) and this is just one more thing that scares her. She does not want me to pay attention to her like this and hates it if I become part of a fight. Im ready to jump in but she doesn't want me to.

Well if the guys not a complete loon then the most your chick has to deal with is some uncomfortablility, so I say you got no problems.

I appreciate that you didn't put this in the "that's life" section. Sometimes a dilemma needs some off color humor, even when people want to help.

I cant operate for the most part with out any humor and off color just makes the blend much more gooder

Couldn't you offer that you can call him with her standing next to you or even on speaker phone so that she can hear both sides of the conversation or even join in on the discussion?
This was the guy clearly gets the message from a "unified front", and your girl is at ease? Just keep the tone non threatening and you will come off as a hero and adult to your girl, and the guy gets the message that he is up against more than one person and far more likely to back down.

i say just ignore it, which can be extremely hard to do. tell your chick to do the same. im going through a similar thing too but it is a little more complicated. ive been with my new chick for about 3 months and her ex keeps sending fucking text messages and calling her. the thing is, i can't really do too much because he is a fucking cop. what i really want to do is put a dent in his skull with a lead pipe, but alas....

im just trying to ignore it and telling my chick to do the same and that it will eventually go away. good luck with everything budday

after we were engaged, my wife's ex started calling.
i got a hold of her phone, called him, and told him to cut the shit, move on, obviously she has.
he called me back and told me he will do what he wants.
i called him back and told him either he stops calling, or i will kick in his front door, box his ass up, and deport him.

never heard from him again.
maybe its better for him.

Tell her not to pick up the phone when he calls. Actually, she should be doing this on her own.

Hang out with him and your girl. Go for dinner. Gain his trust. Then murder him slowly.

That's what real men do.
