i cant sleep unless i have a blanket.
it has nothing to do with warmth, but its more of a weight thing.
i need to feel weight on me to sleep good. the heavier the blanket, the better.
if i zonk out on the couch, i have to put a pillow on my chest.

I know that I have a much better sleep under the weight of several blankets on me. In the summer, I crank the AC and sleep with a comforter. In the winter, I may sleep with the window cracked so that I can sleep under the blanket while the heats on.
I hate it when there is no AC in the summer and I am forced to attempt to sleep under a thin sheet, because I never get any rest that way.
In short, it is not weird to sleep under a blanket.

I have to have 3 or 4 even in the summer..For me it is a weight thing..I also have to have the ceiling fan running....I have this weird thing where I tuck the blankets between my legs...I have 3 bad scars on my left knee from surgery back in the 70's..I dont like my knee's touching each other because of those scars.....I also notice i bend my right wrist in the blankets way back towards my inner arm..I think it must be from how i was positioned in my mommy's womb...Now I'm weird... :glurps:

what about warm breath on the back of your neck and the smell of stale beer, does that help too? Because you could be using the weight to cover a repressed memory. I'm just sayin.

I can't sleep unless I have some noise. Totally silence drives me nuts. For years I only bought TVs with sleep timers. Now I use my ipod and fall asleep listening to the buddays or O&A.

And I'm with Mike on the blanket thing - just need that extra weight. I'll kick it off during the night if it gets too hot.

I have to have pitch black. I've returned alarm clocks because the LED put out too much light. I cover the display on the cable box with tape. The weird part is that I can nap on the couch with the TV on, or fall asleep on a car ride, but when I go to bed it has to be total darkness. All of this drives my wife crazy.

for approx 44 years I always had to have my own blanket and wrap myself up like a cocoon. but now I've grown up and could have my feetsies sticking out... cannot have a top on at all, i'll never fall asleep unles I'm fairly fucked up

I think it's because of my ape-like big toes, but I cannot be sleeping on my back with anything on my feet, as even a sheet feels like someone is sitting on my feet and mutilating them.

Even when I was in Saudi Arabia, and it was a breezy 110 at night, I'd crank the AC in my bedroom to where it was like a walk-in freezer just so I could be able to sleep under the covers in comfort.

i can pretty much sleep under any conditions as long as i'm sleepy. i'm just as likely to sleep on my floor as i am on the bed and I prefer not to have any pillows. i only need a blanket if it's cold. last night, i was hot, so i slept on top of my blanket in shorts, no socks.

Sorry, that was me. Got bad gas today.

When I first starting sleeping with the wifie it was great. Now 15 years later, I find that I sleep better when I'm on the road and have the bed to myself.

Also, I can't sleep if the covers are all tucked in. I have to pull them out and kind of wrap myself up with them.

I find i mostly need my back rubbed in order to fall asleep quickly.

My mom used to "scratch my back" when i was little and even up until i was 13-14 sometimes when i couldn't get to bed. Now my boyfriend does it and it's something that occurs so often i don't even need to ask.

I also sometimes ask for him to rub my butt.
