It's more broadly referred to as a "Gender Studies", women's studies is just more narrowed.

What shocked the hell out of me is how through my charm - no lie, my charm - I somehow sweet talked my way to a better grade in that class. And I was an ASSHOLE during lectures. I remember how we were talking about Islamic genital mutilation and I vouched for the US "dealing with those creeps".

Of course, bombing the Taliban in 1999 wasn't exactly a popular idea. I was 2 years ahead of my time!

I was actually considering being a gender studies major, mostly because the sociology and psychology factors in it fascinate me.
