Does Ron scare you at times?
Only two times Ron scared me:
1) The Cameron Gray rant
2) Mercurio in Bar 9. I will remember the look on Ron's face for a long, long time.

After St. Pat's, I'd assume? Were there any words exchanged or anything like that?

Post St. Pats, but I can't get a fix when it was because they left late January 2003 and remember it being cold.
Mercurio's in there and Ron just STARES at him with a fucking laser glare. Acknowledged him, but it was more of being civil than Ron snapping his neck with his bare hands. It was spooky scary.
At least, that was my POV.

Perry's technically not posting as a board character, it's kind of like Curtoid posting as AKA and me posting as Freitag at work.

I am a Proud God Fearing Ron and Fez Fan. Who wouldn't be afraid. Ron's wit is so dangerous he has to register it at the US Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms.

Don't you just hate that?
Ron scares me the way Christmas scares me.
The Cameron Gray rant
Naaaaaah - that thing lasted for less than a couple of minutes, and wasn't even directed at the person he was really pissed at - there have been XM shows since there where he's had that "tone" for the full 3 hours since then.
Now, if you want a good rant from the WJFK-era about managment, seek out the 2003 show when they learned a former boss was fired.

no offense to RB, but he doesn't actually photogaph intimidating. scary? nah, but I sure would avoid playing poker with him. he looks like he could clean out the average card player.
ESD, on the other hand has a bit of a crazed look in those eyes. i'd keep my eye on him, and FW reportedly has retard strength, so keep him at bay too please. thank you.

Bingo !
I'd be more concerned if Ron didn't care and just let it all slide. Someone who is constantly, passionately seeking to improve the level of whatever they do in life? That's an admirable, and really rare trait, IMHO.
Ron is perhaps the most autodidactic person I ever met. That may intimidate some.

But seriously, when he gets angry I get the same feeling I did as a kid when my dad would yell.

I was never afraid of any man until you pulled out that word. Now I fear you sir.
Mr. Bennington just wants to show up and have things go as they should. I am relieved he came out and said that Earl was only still around because of 'friendship'. These rants he goes on are completely unecessary and can be avoided entirely by staffing some professionals.
Friendship and relationships don't work. That's why I punch my wife and best friend on occasion.... Just to let them know I'm still watching and to keep them on their toes.

I found it surprising that Ron was taken aback that people would fear him. He seemed truely surprised that the people who work there were intimidated by him.
Ron is the Alpha male and he has got to intimidate those he expects things from who do not deliver for him

I found it odd he didn't know those guys were intimidated by him. All along I thought that was the joke. He would say " i never get any back and forth conversation with you guys" then when they had an opinion. " that's the stupidist thing I have heard" and slap them down. i really truly thought that was a gimmick he was doing. Everytime he would blast an opinion but be mad when he didn't get one. You can tell when the guys are getting nervous, and that half the time they don't know what to say. Fez starts to stammer and says yeah alot and Dave starts to nervously cackle like an idiot. That caller hit it right on the head, it's like the "father" just came home and everyone wants to keep him in a good mood so he doesn't yell.

Pretty much what Mongo said. Ron can put the most respected man in his place in an instant. So what chance does a goon like Earl, Dave, etc. stand?

Ron doesn't scare me but when he yells, I get the same feeling that I got when my childhood friend's parents fought. Only I always knew that I was not in trouble so it was fun. Ron's more like a universal Dad.
I don't fear Ron, I respect Ron. There's a big difference.
My thoughts exactly, although his voice is very intimidating.

I introduced myself as "Freakshow" once at JFK, and he spent at least minute tooling on me for it. So kinda intimidating, yeah.
Ron's got a scary "Don't fuck with me look" about him, but is really the nicest guy in the world.
Indeed. The first time I met Ron I thought he was pissed off but he couldn't have been nicer to me and the other guests at WJFK.

First time I introduced myself to Ron was at the Capitals game, and he couldn't have been cooler - ball busting aside, in the time I was there he made everyone feel at home and part of the show. He does come across as someone who doesn't like to have his time wasted with bullshit, and why should he? He's got two shows.

Is that the same as "scared," however? I got a world of shit on and off the air for Tim Harmon, including a "so disappointed" comment, but also with a smile and a wink that he had something he could poke me with. It was intimidating, but also funny - but not really scary (the topic of the poll).

I don't fear Ron when he goes off on his tirades against some of the incompetent people he works with *cough* Earl *cough* because he is trying to keep them in line. I know deep down he is doing it for their own good as well as the good of the show.

I was most afraid of Ron when he exploded the head off the Statue Of Liberty, destroyed most of NYC and had scary tick-like creatures cascading off of his enormous, scaly frame. He seems better now.
