Should I fight a parking ticket?

A week ago I got a parking ticket for "parking in a prohibited area." The thing is, it's on a corner BUT I was within the boundary of the sign. I was thinking of fighting it, but it's only $42 and I don't want to incur court costs if I'm found guilty.

It's after the fact so I'm not sure if pictures will stand up in court.

Unless you have overwhelming evidence, just pay the ticket. I tried to fight 2 parking tickets in Jersey. Both times the judge basically told me that I wouldn't have gotten the ticket if I hadn't parked in a "no-parking" zone. It ends up being more of a hassle in the long run than most people want to deal with.

Can you do a "hearing by mail"? Check the summons, maybe you can mail it in with your defense and evidence.

pay it but " if you feel that strong and energetic enough " separately write a letter and include a copy of the ticket and the pics

If you do go to court, after you present your defense make sure you tell the Judge he looks like a big fat drag queen in his faggy black robe.

i fight every ticket i get. they hope that you will just pay the fine and be done with it. so far i've beaten 2 parking tickets(out of 3) and 1 moving violation this year.

but i gots lots of vacation time built up so its a little easier for me to go to court...

I dont know how much your ticket was but is it worth spending the time to go to court and wait for all the deliquents to have there case heard. I think I would rather just pay the ticket.
