has anyone seen any good certificate rates at their bank recently? last year my bank consistently had over 5% for 8-16month CDs, now the best I can get is 4%. I wish I took advantage when the economy wasnt in the shitter...
Are things going to come back up did I miss my chance? Or does my bank just have bad rates?

Etrade complete bank account will give you a yeild of 4.1% and you don't have to be locked in.

cd rates are horrible right now. not much better than putting money in a savings account!
/thought this would be a thread about the number of quality songs on various albums.

You can go to Bankrate.com to get a comprehensive list of CD rates, but Devo is right. CD rates are in the toilet and you're much better off putting the money into a high-rate savings account depending on how much money you're putting in (as banks give you better rates if you put in 10K or so to start)

I just opened a high-yield money market account with Capital One a few weeks ago. I forget what my actual rates are, but after doing some research, it seemed like my best option.

Thanks for the site. I actually opened up a money market instead of buying a CD, but I was looking to move some money around. I guess I will stick with what I've got until things improve
