"...except for the leg, we couldn't find it"
Holy crap I am dying from that story that Ronnie just told about his Grandma.
I'm off my conference call.....did I just hear a caller ask for a prize on the basis of Favre crying?

Why are they called "well" drinks?
because they sit in the "well" behind the bar. They're the cheaper varieties, used more often, and put there for easy access for the 'tender

Seagrams 7 is a brand, but in many places it is kept in the well.
By no means is a 7 & 7 a shelf drink.

Why are they called "well" drinks?
because they are made with the cheap no-name liquors found in the "well" of a bar, which is just underneath the bar counter.
mid-shelf and top-shelf liquors are the ones they store behind them on counters - it's a price point/name brand differentiation.

hey river... what is it
bobrobot
03-06-2008, 11:12 AM
Hey Bobo, do you remember any of the albums that were worth a lot?
There were tons, depending on what category...
The Beatles "Yesterday & Today" album w/ the "butcherblock" cover in stereo was a holy grail, the stereo was worth more than the monophonic cuz fewer were made.
The Blind Faith album w/ the 15 year old nude girl on the cover was expensive.
There was a a group called Mom's Apple Pie that had a notorious debut album that had a painting of a woman holding a pie w/ 1 slice missing & the crux of the missimg slice was painted very realistically as a pussy (& I don't mean cat...)!
All the albums on the International Artists label were valuable, this was the 1st psychedelic record label & was started by Kenny Rogers brother Leland. The most valuable in their catalogue were the 4 albums by The 13th Floor Elevators, the 1st psychedelic band!!!
The entire ESP Disk catalogue was big money, this was a label of both rock & Jazz music with a definite avant garde bias, The Fugs, The Godz, Albert Ayler...
This could go on 4ever, is there something you were wondering about???
