View Full Version : Keep Kissing Corporate Cock
Yeah, that's right...you. The people who go to Home Depot or Lowe's to save a few bucks and ignore their neighborhood hardware store. The ones who go to Home Liquors or Super Cellars or Shop Rite Liquors instead of the local mom and pop liquor store. Or maybe you prefer Starbucks or Dunkin' Donuts to the little, independently owned coffee shop in your town.
Keep feeding these greedy cocksuckers with your money and keep putting the little guy out of business.
See what happens.
Shit, it's happened already.
Piss and moan about price and convenience all you want, but shut the fuck up when the place you work for is swallowed up by one of these giant conglomerates and you're put out of a job.
I've had enough. Seriously. I'm so fucking pissed off I can't stand it.
And yet come November, we'll have people absolutely convinced that their candidate will change America into some kind of wonderland. You all realize that no matter what, liberal or conservative, Democrat or Republican, each and every candidate is beholden to one of these power hungry corporations and will spend their time in office paying them back, right?
And one side of the aisle will scream "more power to the government!" while the other will scream "more power to big business!" and you will sit there and choose sides.
Well not me.
I'm not giving power to either one of them.
Fuck 'em both.

I buy local whenever possible, but my neighborhood hardware store doesn't sell powertools and there are only a handful of local coffee joints left in the nation. But don't you think this is what specialized food merchants were saying when grocery stores first opened? And what do you say to people who only have Wal-Marts and Lowes near them? Are they supposed to pay an arm and a leg for gas so they can find a local joint?

But I only shop at Lowes because Jimmy Johnson Drives the #48 Lowes Car.
I Love big corporations, in my opinion the mom and pop stores that went out of business weren't innovative enough to become a corporate giant; therefore they failed.
Don't blame the corporations for doing what the little guys couldn't.
I want to be a corporation when I grow up.

You sound like the kind of guy who'd rather eat at Benningan's or Chili's than a privately owned restaurant. You probably order Domino's or Little Caesar's instead of from the local pizza shop.
Yuck.

there's a big difference between food-service choices and buying the exact same lawn mower for a cheaper price.
Once again, Mr. G is right about the Maaaaaaannnnnnnnn.....
Seriously, it's not really that hard to avoid the corporate fucks when possible. And even when you shop, read a label or two and you might start purchasing items that are made close to home.

They're supermarket sized liquor stores, and despite the name they don't sell just wine. They generally sell booze and cases of beer cheaper than the small, independently owned liquor stores can buy it wholesale.

We don't have Benningan's or Chili's here.... I go for East Side Mario's, Boston Pizza or Moxies. And for Pizza, My preference is Panago Pizza. I don't like Little Ceasars, Pizza Hut is too Greasy....

I think your point will defintely hold water, as long as we expand the parameters of our paradigm shift. With that taken into consideration, the following will be extremely difficult to dispute...
