There are great albums like The Final Cut, Animals, and The Piper at The Gates of Dawn that are rarely played. The only reason they lose meaning to me is not having Roger Waters with them anymore.

And Dark Side Of The Moon is an amazing album from start to finish.

I don't smoke pot. The muscianship of Floyd is wonderful. The lyrics are rather smart and they are one of the few bands that I can lsiten to several times and pick out something new I like everytime.

It was madness!! Pure wonderful madness. First--- GVAC presnts me with the albums you see pictured above-- f'ing fantastic!!! Then, Mister Bennington and Mr. GVAC launch into live renditions of all my favorite doors songs-- only to be later joined by half the bar. F'ing stupendous!!!! Meanwhile, we had already set up the Doors playlist to play a Doors Marathon on the way home from the party, and to top it all off, we get a little bit o' Jim in the simpsons this week. All of these type of things are objective. It boils down to your own personal opinion and what you like. In my case, the Doors were always one of my favorite bands and JDM one of my favorite singers.

Does that mean that I'm right and you're wrong? Of course not, but that's why there are different styles out there - to satisfy everyone.

He was not the most polished or talented, but he had that certain special intangible that other vocalists with way more talent could never attain. Morrison could get people on board with his shit wherever he went. You know - the 'it' factor, which is highly underrated.

I am a fan of Morrison and the Doors, even though I was not around in the days of the band.

I agree some of the music is irritating but that is the same for the Beatles and Srones and Flod... I also find myself thinking that some of the music should be annoying but I enjoy it, I like strange music on the whole though.

Morrison is average. His lyrics are overrated but not horrible. He can't come close to holding a candle to Iggy, though

I never liked the Front Man who can't play an instrument other than average harmonica, tambourine, maracas, etc...But, Jim Morrison stands out because his poetic lyrics are so haunting. Another one of the 27 year old music legend deaths. He accomplished so much in his short life. If you can find any good quality live Doors (which you can, if you try) you might like them more. It goes without saying but, they were a great band. I am going to Amsterdam next month and directly across from my hotel is this place...
