I'm gonna go heretic here and say this is a good picture.

I have never met Lilly in person, and I don't know what she's like off the radio. But I do know what she's like on the radio, and I've always picked up a deepness to her. She has a kind of ponderous nature. Even when she does the advice segment she's never ever been what I would consider a giddy vivacious feminine presence.

Everything from the Jivin breakdown to her stark realism about ESD and West side's relationship has indicated to me that she is a darkly powerful intellect in a charming waif-like body. And, I think this picture captures that.

The cute toes (which should not be cropped out) and the innocenct treatment of below the waist flows up in to an overly muscular arm representing power and captivating, questioning, soft eyes. This is the picture of a beautiful, intelligent, real woman.

I think it really works ... if you aren't obsessed with wanting batch material.

As someone who is a hobbyist photographer myself, I will also dissent and say that:

1) For what it is, the Lily pic is good stuff. It's good composition, decent lighting. Most of you are expecting Maxim batch material, and to be honest, it doesn't have to be. A sweetly sexy picture. I like it.

2) The paparazzi picture is garbage.

3) The city pic has some artistic merit, but it's not the "classic NYC picture". Of course, it's hard to get those "classic" pics without either going to the top of a building or shooting it from Jersey or an outer borough.

As much of an interest Earl claims to have with photography I would have thunk the pics would have been slightly better than amateur:flush:. I mean the number one thing people should know about taking pics is focus.
the lily pic is ok, I agree the hand thing takes a lot away from the sexiness, but over all mediocre. Aside from the hand placement (Not trying to sound like a dick, because Lily is very sexy her eyes are very beautiful) but her hands are not her best attribute. I would have tried to hide them some or draw the focus away, thats just my opinion. Also shes trying to hard to cover her breasts hence the skin on her upper arm being pushed out this is were Earl could have gave some direction.
The big A pic I could have done better with the old box type camera with a sheet over my head and a flash bulb.
Points for artistic merit on skyline pic but again out of focus. If the foreground was slightly out of focus and the skyline was crisp I would have given him some credit, but most of the pic is slightly blurred.

The paparazzi shot doesn't even make sense. This is the worst shot of the bunch and was lazy. They work on 57th and broadway, if he stood outside for an hour he would see someone famous or mildly famous walk by and I'm sure someone would have helped him and been a spotter. There are also ALWAYS films shot in nyc (i work by battery park and there's always a trailer). And the photo is BLURRY! 1/10

I see what Earl's going for with the city shot. Anyone with a brain or an ounce of emotion that has been to central park is taken back by the city overshadowing the greens. However, The shot was not taken well. The skyline looks uneven and uninteresting and
a bit blurry! I give him a 2/10, only because I thought it was a good idea.

EDIT: I think in the end Earl really has a lack of imagination. He's not a creative guy, but I think that's because he doesn't have the confidence to go with his ideas and plays it safe. NYC: Stock (average) It looks technically O.K.
Big A: Best of the 3. It captures a mood, but I think it evokes more mood and emotion than a normal paporazzi pic. So that makes it wrong, but it's still my favorite.

If my girlfriend is petite, not curvy, and with no makeup looks young. And I am attracted to her, that makes me sick?
