I've been playing for a lil while now, Shot lil jimmy body guard in the knee (DOn't kill him). Havn't been able to find the porn shop again so i guess thers no mor lil jimmy. Love the radio stations. Dating mechelle preaty hevily just to string her long till somone better pops up. The internet is preaty dope, I did try and go to ronfez.net but that didn't take me anywhere. (One could hope). I've hunted down a few criminals is fun boosted a few cars so farthat helps to make some cash. u can wait outside an atm and smash sombody you get little bit more cash off of em. Michelle really likes the 69st dinner . I've been to the rockstar website they mention the strokers ball team have been to the field it's just empty did a few donughts in it ran over some joggers. they also mentioned on the site a liberty city gun club. Where is it i've driven allover nothside of town the only think i can think is that it's a reference to the cop shop? I've been driven round for hours trying to find it.

Then back to missions. Not so good at drug deliveries but the boosting cars has been fun. My last one was near a train station it was a 2 star setup took me a while to get away.

Just try the cop pit move and just put pressure on the back end of the car, just be patient following him, they will usually make a mistake driving giving you the opening

I took my first trip into Manhattan last night, dropping Playboy off at his place. The game's scenery is just amazing and too damn accurate.

I'm only at 11 percent, I play about an hour every night so I don't go nuts. I just finished up Shadow, the dealers were pissing me off because I don't have the cover system down pat yet. I finally got annoyed and sprayed the room with an Uzi, thanks Faustin!

It's just a difference in conversations. They usually just talk about how Derrick was messed up anyway and it was probably better that he died. But it was great watching Francis trying to act shocked when Derrick got shot.

I know of about 8 people just from the Call of Duty guys who already have GTA 4 for PS3. Dont worry, dougie, if you actually have your PS3 hooked to the internet now, you have plenty of people to play with.

However I wont be goin online until im done with the main story arc. I tried to pace myself at first cause I knew it would get outta hand, and I did well until Sunday night. Since then I have played about 13 hours. Gimmie another week or so and Ill be online ready to roll

Yea I know. But because of my friends and various readings online, I already know how the game itself ends. I like to read about shit once I'm done, esp like Walkthroughs just to see how close I did it to what they say. However sometimes they pique my interest, and I get stuck reading ahead to see shit that happens. Its cool, like I said, I dont care if I know whats gonna happen, cause I still gotta go and do it

You can also get a knife by countering a knife attack, which will disarm the other guy. I think that happens in the mission where you chase after the Albanians (it's one of the early ones so it shouldn't spoil anything).

In this mission - once I got past the train I always was low on health - so once I got to the stairs right before I went outside again I called Dwayne's boys... they provided enough distraction for me to get into the SUV to the right.

Also, right as you make your first LEFT down an alley - the second or third area - one of the cops drops a vest - which is really helpful.

I noticed something kinda weird about this game too. The missions that are considered the hardest I usually bang out on the first try or 2, but the missions that dont seem so hard I just make dumb mistakes: (Packie Mission spoiler)
That one stupid Packie mission where you have to steal the cash from the one mob family and then the other one comes. As long as you kill all the guys on the way in, once you get the cash you can just run outside and packie follows. Its really fuckin simple, however like an asshole, I spent 10 minutes int here tryin to kill all the guys WHO NEVER STOP COMING and Packie died. Then the next time I went through to the cash too fast, and Michael died. I was so pissed. Its weird the way that seems to happen with all the GTA games

its not that big a deal, they dont get that mad for turning them down, you only lose like 1% and get that back easy. Also, if you go and hit them up a few at a time after a couple missions, they wont really call and bother you too much.

AND GODDAMN are taxis awesome in this game. What a fuckin time saver. The only time I wont use them is for Roman, fuck him, ill just be late. he waits

Go hang out with little Jacob. Once he likes you 75% you can call him to buy basically everything but a rocket launcher

No if you have the gun you can go to the gun store and buy the ammo for the gun, and if you have ammo for one smg it transfers to the other one

Yea I think im gonna pass on 100% the game. Basically im gonna zip through this game, beat the main arc. Then start a second one that i play slower and make different choice, but after this first main thing ill mostly be online with it

You can ruin 100% alot of ways. you know, like by forgetting about your appt with an online date and showing up so late you couldnt change or get a nice car, and so they hate you

I never understood the waypoint system until now. Is that something new in this game, or was it in previous games?

I heard that there is a pigeon that you can miss and never go back to kill or something, thus ruining 100%.

You can ruin 100% alot of ways. you know, like by forgetting about your appt with an online date and showing up so late you couldnt change or get a nice car, and so they hate you

I've read that so many times and I don't think it's true. I did pigeons when I was near the end of the game and I still found them all.

I also saw that there were a lot of ways to screw yourself out of 100%, but a lot of people were saying not to do the things I did. People are negative and don't listen to them.

I find a trick with getting high powered weaponry early in game; you get some free body armor from wherever it spawns, get a gun, go to your safehouse and start killing cops. When they mass up you go up the safehouse steps, wait for the door to open, and blast 'em. When you've had enough you run into the room and save the game, losing your wanted level. All the guns they dropped will still be there.

I actually found a way around this - if you make it to your safehouse and save, the cops go away.

Only problem with that is that the missions are on the other side of the city, so getting to the safehouse just might be as difficult.

For the Dwayne mission, I figured this out:
1) walk in the club, walk into the office. knife the manager in the office. no one will come for you.
2) walk to the back. the club owner has a body guard while he is getting a lapdance. get into the corner where they have no shot on you and pull out a gun. They will pull shotguns when you pull a gun. Kill them both.
3) The manager who was talking to the girl in the club ran out the front. Run out to the front, get a car, chase him down. For me, he drove down like 2 blocks and drove into a wall and knocked himself out. If that happens, get out of your car and shoot him thru the window.


Three Leaf Clover took me forever to beat, but I found a great trick to escape the cops.
when you are escaping the subway and going up, go up to the top of the stairs and your stars drop from 5 to 3. Instead of going outside, go back down the stairs and make a right. Run thru the subway tunnels and no cops will be down there. Just keep running until you escape the cops and take the masks off. The just go to a subway station to exit and drive the other guys home.

Oh, who runs the mission that unlocks the rocket launcher? I climbed on the balcony of my Algonquin safehouse and started shooting people in the streets, tossing grenades to blow up cars, etc., but the cops in the helicopters were shooting me and made me stop because I couldn't blow them up.

I was hoping to unlock that 6 star achievement. Stoopid helicopters.

according to my friend, once you get back out of the old hospital to the street, the cop cheat will work

You need full body armor and preferably 0 damage when you grab the coke. Kill whoever you need to make it to the entrance then just run off the dock as fast as you can. There's a speed boat that automatically spawns in the water there every mission... might cost you a life to find it but once you find it always go for that. It's faster than the cop's boats and you get shot at alot less.

That said, I still got my ass shot off doing that and had a fraction of a life bar left by the time I lost them. I became so paranoid crossing the street to the diner for health because the mission doesn't end when you lose the wanted level.

There's no way to shoot them down, just follow them at a distance for a while, then it will trigger a scene where your chopper gets hit, that's normal, then the scene goes to Happiness Island where you're back on foot.

It's not just the stations. I just did a mission where I had to kill diamond thug peeps in the penthouse suite of the ritz. The top floor suite number was 202. Shoulda been 3402 or whatever.

I'm only 20% done, but this has to be the best storyline of any game I've ever played. In previous games, all the mission strains felt like separate games. In this one, they all tie together. For example, Jacob just told me to be careful with Elizabeta, and not to get on her bad side. I'm finding it easier to take cabs around, especially if I have to drive to another island. Other stuff...

thanks for the great head's up. i love the googley eyes on the red headed (and bearded) stuntboy character. it's gotta be dave. on the long aftershow last week, dave, mlc, and pat f m were reading an animation. one of the lines had dave screaming. it resembled the scream in this promo. plus, on last night's lazlow podcast, lazlow remarked he is still very busy with lost and damned. somehow i guessed that he would have moved on and i thought dave was working on a psp or gta or a bully or manhunt.

if the lost and damned will have new fake radio / tv, i am certain to buy it.
