When I am walking around the city I sometimes get asked directions. Most of the time I know exactly how to get where the lost person is trying to go, but if I don't, I will respond with bullshit directions with absolute confidence. By the time the person realizes I didn't know what the fuck I was talking about, what are they gonna do about it?

Sorry guy in the pastel blue Masters hat I just told the wrong way to get to the College of Charleston library, my bad.

Every single person who asks me directions gets sent to the George Washington Bridge...
The way I see it is...there are enough stupid people in the city, if I can send a few to Jersey I'm providing a valuble service..
So chances are,the guy you see trying to make a U turn mid-span on the lower level, is the guy who asked me how to get to Battery Park...

Go 'head, ask me for directions.

OK, where the white women at?

Never mind. After visiting your fine city a few years ago I know they're sunbathing at Marion Square Park (at least in May). I thought I had died and gone to Muslim heaven, except after seeing them party at night I'm not so sure about the virgin part.

You are a true New Yorker Jony. There should be an award in your future!

When people ask me for directions, I always make believe I am an Italian immigrant and can't speak English. This is revenge for the many Central NJ gas stations I pulled into in the 90s, thinking I was safe for directions seeing a middle-aged white guy (based on stereotypes and past experience hardly ever getting comprehensible directions from Hispanic or Arab attendants), and then hearing some incomprehensible jibber-jabber as the Eastern European attendant seems to say that he's not from around here.

People always talk about how nice people are in the South. I was in Atlanta in 1994, and tried to ask people for directions. They wouldn't even stop. The only one that would give me directions was a homeless guy. He didn't even ask me for any money. I gave him some, anyway.

I'm biased, but I feel people generally are nicer in the South. Your mistake, however, was thinking that Atlanta was the South. Most people in Atlanta are from somewhere else, and those who aren't are just as miserable as everyone else in that city. I lived there for about 2 years, a lot of good, a lot of bad, but Atlantans are cocksuckers.
Charleston has got to be the most polite place I've ever been.

I don't mind giving directions but I hate dopey tourists tapping on the limo window when I'm getting some shut eye. It's hard enough to find a semilegal spot big enough to park and then fall asleep. Sometimes it's a tourist that wants to ask permission to take a picture of the car or stretch suv. Take the picture, buy a map, let me sleep.

A person really is a freakin' hayseed if they need to take a picture of a limo.

I've had dopes push their wives with baby carriages in front of a stretch H2 in the middle of Times square @ a red light just for a Kodack moment. They're giving me the benefit of the doubt that I'm paying attention and not stuffing a slice of pizza down my throat.
