So I was in the city today because I was going for a job interview. I had on my very professional "I'm a big girl" suit. So after my interview I'm waiting in the station for my train to come. I see this kid that I went to high school with waiting for his train. This fucking kid was an asshole in high school.

He used to make fun of me. His nick name for me was cocoa krispies cause i'm black. Get it?! One time when he was referring to me I heard him say "if I had monkey lips like that bitch I'd kill myself."

So anyways flash forward like 5-6 years I see this fucker in the station today standing there like a big ugly doofus listening to his ipod. I walk by twice to make sure it's him. then they announce his train is boarding and he starts walking towards the track. So I tap on his shoulder and he turns looks at me and smiles and goes to give me a hug. I pull back, give him the middle finger and mouth "fuck you" at him and walk away. He looked so confused and stunned and the best part is there was at least 5-7 people to witness the whole thing. God it felt so good. I just wanted to share my freeing experience with all of you. sounds like he doesnt remember like most. i will admit i was like that guy (not about race, but nerds) I won class clown, loudest boy and most popular my senior year so i played the part my whole high school life. about 3-5 years after graduating i would see some of the nerds from back in the day and was always nice to them. to this day whenever i see them im nicer to them then i should be. i feel bad about the way i treated them and there is no reason to be an ass to them. 1 of them came up to me and said he was glad i changed and that he always wanted to stand up to me but was afraid.

koo koo ka choo...thanks now I will have visions of the eggman all night. I read this whole thread with earnest because early in my life I was teased and tormented. Later I became a bully after my "walrus" self became bigger and stronger than others.

In high school there was one kid who was big and fat and "slow". His name was Steve Gibson. I used to terroize this poor lad for reasons now that escape me. After my stint in the military I moved back home and found him working the register in the local Target. From that point on whenever I would go to that store I would seek him out, get in his line and always thank him ask him how he was doing and make it a point to shake his hand. At first he looked horrified to see me, but after time he would be cool about it. I was always amazed at how he was the better man by turning the other cheek and would allow me to try and to make ammends. I believe that part of this was due to his "slowness". I guess the vegence part of his lobe was not as active as mine. As a result his sinful pride did not run his emotions as mine did.

Looking back I realize what a coward I was by picking on him because I knew that he couldn't and wouldn't fight back. I have tears in my eyes as I type this and regularly ask God for forgivness when this comes to mind.

Pixie I am glad you got the chance to tell this person what you thought of him and hopefully for him that was the moment of clarity that he needed to realize what a dickbag he was.

I went from being the picked on fat kid to the bully and for the life of me I do not know which hurts more when I think of these times in my life.

If you will all excuse me I will be going now. I just wish we could for one moment really see how much we hurt one another sometimes.
