Sly Ron had me fooled, I thought Fez wasn't back today. I was shocked when I heard the Stone Cold music and heard Fez sounding better than ever! Just by the fact that he was alot more vocal than usual during the last few months seems like a good sign to me.

It's great to hear you back on the air and you sound sooo much better! About a week before you took your nut vacation I decided that I was also sick of being medicated all day and I went cold turkey off of my 60mg a day of Methadone. About 4 years ago I got a crushed disc in my back and started taking Oxycontin for pain. I fell in love with it and started snorting pill after pill until I couldn't function without it. I'd wake up and the first thing I'd do would be to run to my desk to get well, then go to work, take several bathroom breaks to snort more, and before I knew it my body needed it or I would be thrown into withdrawls. Oxycontin is extremely expensive so I moved on to heroin and soon enough I was sticking it in my veins to save money and not be in pain.

When I realized what I had become I found a doctor to perscribe me methadone and was on that for 2 years. Today is now my 18th day with no pills and I'm finally getting over the terrible sickness.

Listening to the show and hearing that you were voluntarily getting help to make yourself better as well helped me more than you will know. I was so scared of getting clean, and was in 2 weeks of complete hell when I finally stopped. You gave me the determination to stay clean and make it though the hard part.

I know it sounds lame, but it helped me tons being able to hear someone else unhappy with their medication and mental state, and moving in the right direction and getting help. I owe you a lot Fezzy. I literally had tears in my eyes before you left for the nuthut because I knew i was just as scared as you of the unknown, and if it would even make a difference.

Because of you I know that I'll do everything I can to keep myself clean, especially now that the worst is over.

Good for you getting help. You have all of my respect.
