I like Monster Quest too. I dont believe most of it. But there are a few episodes where it can be true like the Giant Squids.

I don't believe all of it but it is entertaining. I also like Ghost Hunters even though I also take it with a huge grain of salt. Once in awhile, bizarre stuff does show up on those monster/supernatural shows.

I really HATE Ghost Hunters. It is an absolute waste of time that could be used for worthwhile programming. :furious:

i agree with fez that people should enjoy cannolis within a designated eating area.

I agree with Fez. Ketchup belongs on the side of the french fries, not poured on top of them. Also, it's "ketchup," not "catsup." Rock on, Fez!

Additionally, ghost hunting shows are dumb. Any show that gives the slightest credence to the supernatural is just feeding the superstitious fears of morons.

I agree with Fez, dessert is part of the meal.

Unless it's Roosevelt Island diner cheese cake. Then you can keep it.

My Dad is a member of a NY ghost hunting group and is kind of known as a good photographer, was written up in a local magazine...

Jeff and I always thought it was stupid until he played us some stupid recording, slowed down 2x at a 1800s gravesite, I need to find it and upload it, but it was like WHYYYYYAREYOOUUUUU HERERRREEEEE@

I don't fault anybody for believing in ghosts or the supernatural - I am far from an expert on such things and also believe that almost anything is possible in this universe. Never say never.

However, those ghost hunting shows largely SUCK and are a waste of time. The "evidence" is disputable and can be open to interpretation, plus the reactions they have simply do not seem honest to me.

I SOOOOO want to believe in a lot of these pseudo-scientific things, and to some extent I do. But, these shows have done more for skepticism than anything James Randi ever did. Watching these shows makes me shake my head because, remember, these are the guys at the TOP of their field.

And Missy, that's pretty cool. As skeptical as I am, I'm def looking forward to seeing/hearing that clip.

I was either in class or at work when whatever you're referencing happened, so I'll just go out on a limb and say I agree with Fez also, because he rules and I often find agreement with him, even when Ron counters seconds later and makes me feel stupid.

I like Monsterquest too. Sometimes it is just plain silliness, like the episode I watched last night about wild giant hogs (the double meaning wasn't lost on me, I was laughing the entire time), and I loved the one where they pretty much debunked "rods". I liked the one where they tried to debunk the infamous Sasquatch footage (where the Sasquatch is walking away from the camera and looks behind his shoulder) but couldn't. That one gave me chills!

My other favorite show on the History Channel is Shockwave... they take shocking footage of some kind of disaster and use CGI to show you what really happened, and how the person managed to survive:

http://youtube.com/watch?v=1zqqL48YFIY

My absolute favorite is the one where a guy reinforces a bulldozer or something with a steel shield, leaving holes for him to shoot through with his guns, and proceeds to go on a rampage destroying as many buildings as he could in his small little town, going for people who had "wronged" him in the past. The police couldn't do anything but watch as he took out building after building, business after business. It was glorious.
