Enjoy, zildj!

Once again I have absolutely no idea what to get my dad. I've exhausted every possible Met and/or Jet gift idea (they're literally his only interests) and I got him a Tom Tom navigation for Christmas and a cell phone for his birthday in March. Unfortunately, he doesn't share my love of gadgets and never uses them.

I hate these fake fucking holidays.

My Dad has insisted for years on not getting a gift and he means it. So he gets a card and call, and everyone is happy.

Already got my father one for Christmas 2 years ago... he loves it and got an additional one in his car. A great gift idea!

I'm sure it would be collecting dust alongside his navigation system and cell phone.

He'd say "What do I need this for? I can hear the Mets and Jets for free."

He literally has no other hobbies.

Why don't you get him Mets tickets?

I'm getting that for my dad.

thats seriously an outstanding idea.......or Jets tickets (though it boggles my mind people would actually pay money to see a shitty football team "play") at least get him a decent game like Jets/Pats

Though my dad likes lots of good stuff, he's also very cheap. I'm always good at figuring out something that I know he's like, but is too cheap to spend his own money on. Most of the time, I can get by with spending only 25 bucks. He's never disappointed.

For instance... Craftsman came out with this reversed staple gun a few years ago.
http://s7.sears.com/is/image/Sears/00968514000?hei=250&wid=250&op_sharpen=1&qlt=90,0&resMode=sharp&op_usm=0.9,0.5,0,0

It's a cool design that makes it easier for the staple to go in all the way. He's had the same staple gun for about 30 years. I knew he'd like the new design, but there was no way in HELL he'd buy this new one, since his old one still worked.

I bought him the new one for about 25 bucks, and he hasn't used his old one since.

I haven't seen my daddy in over 6 months.... i miss him like crazy.

I will be sending him his HS yearbook that i found when cleaning out the old apartment, a starbucks gift card, and a note. I wish I could be flying out this weekend, but it just wasn't in the cards.

got my dad an OTB betting card and a Dunkin Donuts gift card. the little things that make my dad happy.

my wife must have thought it was Mothers Day 2 today. went to my parents today and i spent the whole time running after the little fella while she sat and talked. i ask for no gift, but wanted to sleep late and have an easy day..kind of like what she wanted for Mothers Day and i gave her. got about 1/4 of what i asked for. well at least his 2 and half hour nap was nice.
