recently I've been hearing Triple AAA has been getting alot of calls for people running out of gas. it seems people will only fill their tank a 1/4 tank at a time due to the prices. the question that comes to mind is why wouldn't they fill it once and then fill it every time they get to 3/4 tank? then there's no risk of running out...
i used to set all the clocks in the house 10 minutes fast thinking It would help prevent being late for things like work or events. Turns out I just slept 10 minutes longer. It all added up to the same...
anybody else have any quirky habits?

I get to work an hour early everyday to ensure I have enough time to finish what needs to get done, so I can leave on time. Then I wind up staying an hour later to get ahead on some things in case I don't get to work early the next day.

all of the shirts in my closet are hung on the same style white hangers, all facing the same direction, in color order. same with my pants, suits, and jackets.

I check my bag every 5 minutes to make sure I have my keys, wallet and cell phone. Also, there's nothing I hate more than being late. I get ready like 2 hours ahead of time to ensure punctuality. And I pucker my lips when deep in thought.

So, Pixie, what do you think of the existentialism of Picasso's work in a post-modern world?

You should start a "Deep thoughts with Pixie" blog just so we can see that
I set my alarm clock 24 minutes fast. No other clock, just the alarm clock.

When I get DVDs I always watch the special features before I watch the movie, even if it's a movie I haven't seen yet. It gets me excited to see the movie.

I have to set 3 different alarms to be sure I will wake up, one is early...the other is about 15 minutes after that and the the final alarm is the oh crap alarm. I have insomnia so it's necessary I have a constant fear of waking up at noon and realizing that I have missed 4 hours of work.
I also tend to cuss at people while I am listenting to the voicemail messages they have left me at work, I could never talk to a customer like that on the phone...but saying F-you while listening to the message they leave me if they have a problem or are just being general assholes makes me feel better...it makes the people I work with think I have torettes syndrome.
I also have OCD about my keys, the locks on the doors, making sure I have turned things off, making sure I have set the parking brake on cars...ect...I would love to have the kind of OCD that makes me want to clean all of the time unfortunately I am soooooo very unorganized but dammit I know where my car keys are because I check for them every 5 minutes.
This thread made me feel better...now I have to make sure I turned off the stove..for the 12th time.

I twirl and play with my hair a lot because I'm obsessed with the soft and smooth feeling of my hair against my fingers and lips. It calms me down a little bit.

In the morning...I do everything in exactly the same order.
Wake up, take a piss, hop in the shower, put on deodorant, clean ears with Q-tip, brush my hair, get dressed(don't put my socks on until I am ready to leave the house), eat breakfast, shave, brush my teeth, make lunch, gather my shit for the day,put on socks, drive to work.
Same thing Monday through Friday.
I guess it's not really that quirky.

I do the same ting with my clocks. My parents always did it too. With them all the clocks in the house are different so you never know what the hell the time is. Unless you ask my mother, who will take 10 min to try to remember which clocks were set to what wrong time and another 5 to do the math to get the right time.
