You Really Got Me, top 5 riffs.

Closest we have to a guitar god these day is Jack White.

I'll comment: It's UBERGAY AND SICK.

I don't like it either, but I was trying to maintain a polite tone and not directly "attack."

Seriously - it isn't "Work Safe" for the majority of us surfing at work.

EDIT: It isn't a comment on your personal taste or interests. You just have to be conscious of the impact on other board members. There isn't a way to (easily) block avatars from appearing.

Oh, gotcha.....I really thought I was in keeping....the girlie pictures that start the thread each day aren't exactly work safe either, plus I've seen some pretty racy graphics posted here and there.

But, not a problem, I can ratchet back from "NYPD Blue PG-13" to "PG" ;)

The best guitar riff I've heard recently is Gov't Mule's Streamline Woman.

This youtube sound doesn't quite do it justice...

Yeah, the opening pics for this thread touch the line sometimes - I won't dispute that. However, they also tend to have all of the 'parts' covered and can be avoided relatively easily. Avatars follow you everywhere, on every post.

The other threads with racy pics are usually obvious ones to avoid when at work (ex: Hot Chicks thread).

Thank you for being considerate and changing your avatar though. We appreciate it.

"Eminence Front" by the Who has a great opening guitar riff, but I'm not sure if has reached "iconic" status.

Anybody?

Freakshow

White Strips, White Stripes, White Stripes.

Seven Nation Army, Hardes Button to Button, Blue Orchid.

Probably not very high on his list, but Song 2 by Blue is a great rock riff.
