so sad. on friday, i was at work between appointments and decided to go upstairs and get some air, and i saw the reception area was in complete chaos with emt's arriving and helping a man passed out on the floor. this man was a 58 year old hairdresser at the spa/salon i work at, and wasnt feeling well so he went to the desk and collapsed of a heart attack. i couldnt watch them work on him, so i went outside until they took him away in the ambulence. the girls heard the emt guy say he was pretty much dead, but i guess it wasnt "official" until they got to the hospital. when we got the call, everyone was just hysterically crying, the employees and the clients. he worked there for about 30 years. the owner arrived and just flipped out when she got there. he has family who live in lebanon and he was so excited to be going to visit them next month. i just couldnt get over how much he was loved at my spa. i'm relatively new there and i usually stay downstairs in the spa ,so i didnt get to know him much, but he was so nice to me. as soon as i left the spa to go home, i just broke down crying. today i went in to get my haircut and had to sit next to where albert used to work, and it was just depressing to see the flowers, candles and mirror turned around. also very hard to have to try and be business as usual there, even though we closed early friday. creepy to see clients sitting on the same couch the day after albert died.

this is very sad... I am so sorry you had to go through it.

a woman i knew through theatre died suddenly and unexpectedly one night during auditions for a show...she was found in the bathroom. i still get chills every time i work in that theatre.

i guess it's cliche but try and remember the good. it's always the best way to remember people.

How awful, I'm sorry you had to go through that.

We had a scare like that a few months ago where one of the women who works for me suddenly started getting shortness of breath and her heart was racing and it seemed for sure that she was going to get a heart attack. I searched the whole office for aspirin to try and help her but no one had any. One of my co-workers then raced out and picked up some and brought it back for her. Luckily it helped calm her down until she could go to the hospital and get treated.
