There's that moment at night, right before you fall asleep where evrything makes sense. Lately though, that last thought hasn't been very comforting. It's just more chaotic and cluttered than those early morning thoughts when all you want is to curl back into a ball and not face the day.
I just feel like I'm in a state of perpetual fuck ups. And my sleep sure is suffering.

When I'm laying in my bed, I talk out loud to my self, as if there is an audience listening to me. I know what I need to do in life but im just so fucking lazy to do anything. From getting a new job to losing weight. I just don't want to deal with it all. I wish that I'll score a winning lotto ticket and never have any more worries. But once I sleep and then wake up the next day or whatever, its like I forget I even said that stuff.

so then stop fucking up, do something about it, and you will sleep fine.

this may be the first post of yours that i can actually relate to.
no matter what is going on in my life, i always have these awful pre-sleep issues... which may help to explain my insomnia.
so then stop fucking up, do something about it, and you will sleep fine.
you are being a mean, insensitive man.

i am being a logical, rational man.
something is broken, fix it, and then it will not be broken any longer.
he is young, competent, and at this point, can do whatever he needs to with his life. nothing is stopping him besides himself, which is why i told him to just get over it and make a change in his life.
school sucks? switch schools or majors
don't know what major you want? pick something that will give you the most flexibilty when you are done. or take a year off and intern / volounteer some places to make the decision easier.
no money? well start working, even if it is a shit job. of course no one likes to work for minimum wage, but getting paid shit is better then getting paid nothing. get a job as a cashier or something somewhere until something better comes along. try to do something at nights, like being a waiter somewhere. you will make decent money, work with other people your age that you can be friends with, and you can work friday and saturday nights so you do not feel the social pressure to be out those nights. and the addes bonus is that you can work part time during the day on weekdays interning places to see if you like it. also it works well around you school schedule.
if you are not sleeping because of relationship issues, get some money in your pocket so you can take girls out and that will all go away

I suffered from this as a kid and teenager..Back then a lot was expected out of me from a lot of adults..I used to feel like so many people counted on me to succeed..That was stress that was keeping me awake, once I failed everyone and the stess and expectations went away, so did my sleeping issues..I sleep like a baby now..
The good news is...Things can change for you Kieth, try to identify your stress factors and deal with them..

there are moments where i find waking up more depressing than anything I might think about falling asleep. Especially if I had alot to drink the night before. I'll wake up, and think to myself 'oh so-and-so is dead.' or some nostalgic useless thought like 'I'll never be 9 years old again'. And if I just had a nightmare, forget about it. I'm glad to be awake but it makes me afraid to sleep.
Of course there are those nights where you'll think about shit that's bothering you and you can't do anything about it at the time because it's 4am. Solution: do something about it after you wake up. Works wonders. That or chronic masturbation. Though I think the former is alot better than the latter.
Next time you can't sleep, go and handwrite thoughts feelings or whatever in a notebook. It involves mental and physical activity that is woefully lacking when writing on the internet. And it's sort of productive. Just a suggestion.

If I left myself to my thoughts right before sleep, I would never sleep.
I work on crossword puzzles or other word puzzles until my eyes can't focus. Then I put my magazine down, turn out the light and I'm asleep. The puzzles force my brain to work on things that have nothing to with nothing, until it's ready to snooze.
An oversimplified solution? Sure. But I don't feel like playing psychiatrist.

Just fall asleep listening to Coast to Coast.
You won't have to worry about your own thoughts.
