Whenever a thread is a hot topic, and stays on the front page for a few hours, it quickly dies after I reply, or I remain the final poster.

Should I just keep my thoughts to myself from now on?

This is actually a great (living) place thanks to people like you. Keep posting your thoughts. Remember also, you can reply to existing threads. Folks are very nice here. The mods are cool and put up with a lot of shit. Sometimes none of them are paying attention so you can kinda commit board crimes by posting bad shit. Post a pic of you and your chick having sex and get banned for a while or just hop in a thread. Create a second and third ID and get in a great big argument with yourself and others. Go for it!

Damn. I was hoping no one would post here. I have feeling Reynolds was, too.

If it makes you feel any better, you aren't alone.

It just makes me feel worse. Now I'm the guy that doesn't search for a thread before starting a new thread guy.

Dammit! That what I was affraid of. Since you put this in this forum, I was thinking you might actually be feeling down on yourself. I didn't want to do the "already a thread" thing. :drunk:

It happens to me all the time.

I think it means that you have nothing of worth to add to a topic...

and seeing your name reminds people of an EXIT sign.

I feel for 'ya, Budday. I feel for me, too.

I'm feeling for us...

and we suck.

Chin up!

Please see Post Purgatory, post #2073.

I didn't post that there to avoid the rules.
I posted it there because it is true.
I didn't realize that this post was in the "That's Life" forum.

Reynolds, I hope you realize that you shouldn't kill yourself. Life will get better. Sometimes threads just go away. It has nothing to do with you. People put their own thoughts in on a subject and sometimes there are not many people that have anything to say. It's not that there is something wrong with you, just that you were the last one to chime in. You know, sometimes posting is hard. Topics come, and go, so fast and you never know which one will take off. I mean, who would have thought that the Douggrasso threesome thread would go on forever? You just can't predict those things. Sometimes you just have to let fate take control and let things play out. Maybe you make the comment that sparks an epic thread, or maybe you make the last comment in a thread that disappears. It's all beyond your control. So hang in there, you seem like a good enough person. Maybe one day you'll post in an epic thread and then you'll look back on this thread and laugh, mostly because it is in the shitdick no fun forum when it really shouldn't be, but maybe for other reasons. Who am I to judge, I don't start threads. But that's just it, no one can say who kills threads or who starts them. But I'll tell you, that one post better fucking matter man. Because, as a matter of fact, as we discovered on the train, the next post never happens. It's all the same fucking post man. So you better, when you want to post somethin' man, you better post like it's the last minute of your life. You better post. Pooooost. Because someday, some post is going to weigh on your shoulders. It's gonna feel too heavy. It's gonna weigh on ya. It's gonna feel like a ball and chain.

Is it worse to be a thread killer or someone who starts threads that have been started twice before?

You are not alone,
I too am a thread killer...

Well, it kind of depends what kind of thread killer you are:

Brandy/Moesha - Manslaughter is your game; you didn't mean to kill, but the person (thread) is still dead.

Bernard Goetz - You kill for the sake of justice. It is a dirty job but most people understand, or even applaud, your actions.

Dr. Kevorkian - Your actions are merciful and based in deep caring, although some will see you as a villian.

Jeffrey Dahmer - A truly sick and twisted individual, you kill for pleasure, gratification, and a sense of compulsion. You have to kill (threads), and make people suffer as you do.

So, whaddaya think?
