They're mixed up. ESD is supposed to be Janetty, and Casey Sean Michaels.

I had enough trouble with trying to darken ESD skin tone on Sean Michaels...

The only thing close to Jews who proselytize are the Lubavitch (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chabad), but they only try to get Jews to be religious again, not convert non-jews. They run a "Mitzvah wagon" in brooklyn.

I went to catholic schools, and learned at a young age not to let those asshole nuns tell me how to live, and watched them humiliate myself and others to get the point across.

I was tied to my school desk by a pair of my nun teacher's nylon pantyhose just for getting out of my seat too much. Another nun slut made me sit in her bottom desk drawer for being too hyper. Nowadays I could sue those bitches for that, but I knew when I was younger not to let this bitches hold me down. Think that is why I have such a problem with being told what i should do nowadays.

That's the realization that led me away from my religious upbringing: the notion that a total scumbag could be "saved" and go to Heaven, but someone who lived a life helping others and making the world a better place but wasn't a Christian would fry in hell.

The idea of living for infinity in heaven always was a little scary to me as a kid. You could live a hundred million years in heaven, but compared to infinity that's nothing. And then you have to exist longer?

It's odd to think that we are supposed to end up in this magical place, where we have no worries and it is the best place in the world. The best food, the greatest people around, not a problem.

Then what the shit was Free Will for? Why would God force us to live like this? What if I don't like the steak sauce in heaven, even though God thinks I should?

You may go one of these ways in the article. Nonetheless, once you're gone, you're gone. Religion just gives people false hope. I'd rather not be disappointed when I'm on my way out.

I dunno. I like my steak a certain way. I guess everyone will have their own personal heaven that they want? Why can't the Christians just say: "Everyone goes to heaven, but it is your own personal space. You can also visit other people's heavens too, and play fun games where everyone wins."

Sounds pretty boring to me.

Prayer is the one thing of all religions that makes the least sense.

So your god listens only when you say some magic words? Or he hears you all the time? Then he hears all the bad things you think about. But god judges, does he not? Well then, have you have more good thoughts than bad?

Not if you're human.

But if you have consciousness, then you are aware of time. If you are aware of time. So you would be aware of time passing.

What about creating just a bit more conscious space and allowing for the possiblity that the passage of time is an illusion. Time only exists after it has passed or before it occurs but never now. There is no precise manner in which we can mete out what is truly considered "now" and quantify it. Becuase I'll just half that - then you have now/2 ... then half that and you have then/4 and so on...

I like this thought: Realizing that you physically exist simultaneously and and statically at all points during your life as well as at all points prior to your life and after your life. So what is meant by "your life" after that? It just becomes an arbitrary way of carving out a certian section of your greater infinite self.

Your timeline becomes a network of concurrent physical points (let's say - your universe... located in "space") that appear to be the past present and future depending on the amount of "consciousness" or energy you invest in the reality of each. Put another way - you (proper) lie at rest as non-physical energy and that energy becomes invested in the above nexus of experience.

The past draws some energy (I remember it vaguely) or none (no recollection of it) ... the present gets almost all (here and now is reality) and the future none (it does not exist or if it does, it cannot be known)...

Eli - I am 100% an armchair philosopher with this sort of thing. FYI. I realize this might make no sense but that's the fun of RF.net... fuck proof reading. Just post like you're gonna die tonight.

I love to turn this over in my head for fun sometimes (and it's nonsense at some moments and profound at others) Hawkings's koan... "why do we remember the past but not the future?" I have a lot of fun with exploring the subject. I plan on diggin into all my old philosophy books again when I feel I'm ready.
