I have demonstrated a great deal of self-restraint today by not posting in the Jets 2008 thread.

There were so many doors left WIDE open that I did not walk through at the risk of exacerbating the situation between Matt and another, equally vocal, poster in the thread.

That is so true. I don't have that issue personally, but it always blows my mind that at work, there are these people that get to their desk and then first thing, get on the phone with their spouse for some kind of inane conversation. Either they're doing stupid lovely lovey talk that they could have gotten out of the way at home, or they're having a stupid petty argument that could have waited until they were at home. Either way, it always makes me embarrassed on their behalf. There is a woman who does this constantly and she always argues with someone on the phone and then hangs up and bitterly complains about how "stupid" men are. I want to go over there and be like, "Excuse me, do you realize that all 30 employees in this suite are probably sick of hearing your excruciatingly personal business being constantly discussed?"

Maybe if she wasn't such a fucking passive aggressive nag all the time, he would stop being so "stupid". "Oh, well I guess I'm the only one who actually <i>cares</i> about this family." "Well! I don't think you're being very respectful to disagree with me like that." And so on. Her tone just irritates the hell out of me. What an annoying whiner. I bet whoever that guy is, he is hideously disgusted with himself for having her in his life.

She works in billing and she talks the same way to the insurance companies and Medicare people. "I need to talk to your supervisor. I don't think you're being very respectful or helpful." Then she sits there and tells the supervisor person the same thing, in this pseudo-professional whiny way. She is the kind of idiot I used to hate getting on the phone when I worked in customer service.

Wow, I guess I didn't realize how much she truly annoyed me until I had so much to say about her. She's not even in my department. She's just in my earshot.
