Im confused. Is Franklyn a paid member of the R&F show staff? Or does he just do freelance work for them? Or is he a fan of the show who does stuff for free?
How do some of the in crowd have the time to be on the show so much? Happy Typing Girl, Sheepy, Fred from Brooklyn, Zman, Stalker Patty, don't they have regular jobs? Are they heirs to wealthy industrialists so don't need to earn a living?
I don't know if the dustup between Franklyn & Dave was for real or not, but it sure made for uncomfortable radio listening.
Dave made little sense. On the other hand Franklin sounds too slick to be genuine.

It seems like Dave is jealous of anyone that gets a little mic time. I noticed that a few months ago when someone was in the studio and it was so obvious that Dave had a problem with him.

I've never heard/seen an insider(frequent callers, characters, good friends of the show) ever say bad things about the guy.
It makes me wonder if I'm missing the joke, I'm not cool enough for the room like Franklyn is, or the fact that Ron loves him makes others afraid to say how they really feel for risk of being alienated from the show.

Dave's dislike for him, whether a work or shoot, seems genuine but hard to explain much like my feelings for him.

the whole Pepper Hicks birthday cake thing seemed pretty passive-agressive, as did his behavior towards ESD the other day (despite ESD having a bit of a mental-breakdown).

also, the way he treats Fez like he's a retard, with the occasional "wow! that's a funny joke, Fez" comment seems insulting.

of course, i don't know what goes on behind the curtain, so maybe i'm just a rube walking down the midway with a balloon in my hand...

3 tosses for a dollar my friend. Seriously though for my one time in Franklyn was there (go figure) and he heard that I was from indy and he came over and said that he and his chick are in indy at least once a year. Overall a nice guy to me but Im not on the front lines of the best thing going so I dont know enough as this was just the opinion of one fly on the wall.
