my floors are hardwood (i may put down an area rug to warm it up a bit) and my curtains are dark hunter green/deep burgundy sheers.

what color couch should i get?
i have 2 cats... one with light fur... so i am not sure i should get a real dark color. though i will probably buy a big throw to keep on the couches when i am not using them...

I would go with a brown or dark tan color. its neutral and will go with any rug. perhaps you can pick up some green accents from the curtains in the rug and pillows... a nice throw for the sofa especially over the spot where the cat likes to park ... and you are good to go

I am buying one from ikea next spring. first I have to install my laminate floors and then I will buy after my taxes are back.
I am buying tan, my floors will be dark brown and most of my furniture is. my curtains are while sheer panels.
I am planning on buying a cream colored rug.
