There was certainly plenty of weirdness those last few weeks of the real FBA. The main problem I had was this belief from certain mods other than Gaz that everybody on the site had to have certain beliefs and posting qualities so that 3 or 4 of them could visit the O&A show. I thought it was ridiculous that hundreds of people should modify their behavior for that purpose. To go a bit further, one of the biggest disappointments of O&A these days is their belief that they should never be questioned or criticized on the boards. All Struff and the other mods would ever have to say is that they can't be held accountable for everything anybody wrote on a dumb message board.

I'll explain it again for the last time since you choose to either ignore it every time I ever have or just don't want to acknowledge it because it doesn't fit into your oh so perfect perception of what was going on. We wanted to make the O&A forum fan friendly once again and not a place where anyone who wasn't completely fucking jaded towards the show could post without being called a dumb mother fucker and piled upon by the quote haters unquote that drove every fan of the show out of that forum. BUT GOD FUCKING FORBID RIGHT? It wasn't like a whole message board for them to circle jerk on should be enough right? No one waving a FBA flag over their shoulder was ever gonna' be welcomed by the show from FBA... EVER. No matter what we did on the site or what any mods ever said. The Anthony/Doug situation assured that and we all knew that. So this little fantasy you've concocted trying to make us all star fuckers or whatever has no legitimacy in either truth or entertainment value.

In the final days of FBA, like brett said, they did want to make it a "fan friendly" board. I thought it was a mistake because Wackbag and RGF were doing that already and why would people post on a board that is offering the same exact shit as everyone else? The site died anyway so who cares but that was my position

and I learned I am welcomed on Struff's site. I will post their if it ever does something relevant or interesting (so yeah, i'm never going to post there). To be a successful messageboard in this day and age, you need either an owner who can get people to want to participate (like doug could in the early days) OR you need your board to do something innovative that no other board is doing. My biggest problem with Struff is his ideas on how to run a messageboard because its "to be like every other board". There is absolutely nothing "the New FBA" offers fan that 10 other websites don't already (and i know this because if the site was doing something cool then i would hear about it).

TNA and Styckx were certainly willing to go around and around with anybody for any silly reason, but there were more than enough Kool-Aid drinkers to keep up with them. The only incident where I felt we went too far was the Marissa debacle, and I later apologized to her for my part in that stupid thread.

In my opinion...in the whole 202 messageboard world, RonFez.net really is the only place to be

Wackbag was great during the time O&A were off the air and the early days of the XM era

FBA was great because it provided a needed alternative to wackbag (and the egos of the people that ran wackbag at the time), it provided a place for paltalkers to go AND FBA did stuff for the show and got show mentions. It made us all feel good

Then through whatever, the O&A show decided to only like wackbag. Also, paltalk became a place of so many rooms and cliques that it didn't need a messageboard anymore (in the final days of FBA, the paltalk forum was dead)

I would say the smartest thing Ron ever did was just support every messageboard that supports the show but it seems pretty common sense to not fight with fans and shit on websites that promote the show.

But Ronfez.net is a place where the radioshow constantly mentions and encourages content on the site and that keeps it relevant.

the days of O&A having an internet relationship with fans are past. So O&A messageboards are boring cuz no one cares. Ronfez.net is FUN

I don't know what they're doing this year. They just bought a house, and they're real busy with that.

But you're right - I was jealous of the fun they were having (except for one person who decided to have an e-battle while everybody else celebrated).

they will be in NJ for new years with Rob & Bianca.
