We spend about $150 every two weeks. I try to only buy what is on sale. Pathmark just had a great sale of meat. When I see meat at a really good price I buy what the budget allows (the King Kullen near me does manager's specials when they have overstock or things are getting close to the expiration date). Then I wrap everything in freezer paper and right in the freezer. It saves us a lot. I've gotten 2 packages of Premio Italian sausage for $1. That's meat for at least 8 servings (or more if I put it in soup or make it with lentils). Then I plan meals around what is in the freezer and what is on sale. Eating seasonally helps.

Sometimes I have to hit all 3 which is not a problem, it is a 7 mile straight trip back to the apartment (start at furthest) to do so.

i used to be able to go to the commissary and spend $120 for 2 weeks but that was years ago and i would divide and freeze everything. i remember one time i had a houseful of relatives...all in-laws of course :wallbash: and Scott's grandma says out loud, in a disapproving tone " WHAT IS SHE GOING TO DO WITH ALL OF THAT FOOD?"

I don't think so. I think there were even episodes that never made it over here. There was a whole Save Our Scouts movement (SOS) years ago to bring the rest of the series over. But I do not thing anything came about because of it.
If you can find Super Gals pick that up for the pukes. They will like it.
