I'm contacting people from HS through Facebook

And I have my BEST FRIEND to blame.

Actually, I think I signed up years ago but sort of forgot about it until she contacted me to be her friend. She and I are both looking up people from HS.

So far it's been great 20+ years can really soothe a soul. Bit I contacted the smart-musician guy I had a crush on. I'm sure he's married, but I felt like a freakish stalker contacting him. There's no reason why I should. I suppose we never TRULY grow out of out insecurities.

I've gotten back in touch with a few people from high school that way. We don't really talk much, but it was nice to catch up with them and find out what's going on with them.

There has seemed to be a surge lately of people my age signing up for facebook. I think over the past month at least 10 people from HS contacted me.

I don't have facebook, just myspace... but I think no one should feel like a stalker contacting people they know. Everybody signing up for these wants to be available publicly, whether it is with a private profile and the option to be messaged and added or a fully public profile for the whole world to see.
