I water down my juice

Whenever I buy fruit juice, I drink a watered down version starting at 1/2 juice, 1/2 water. Then as we start to run out, I drink water with a splash of juice to make the juice last longer.

Am I cheap?

Juice can be kinda pricey, especially for something you are gonna drink and then pee out in an hour. I don't think you are cheap. Sometimes it is too strong tasting (or sweet tasting anyway) and needs to be watered down anyway.

if i am making orange juice from frozen concentrate i always use about double the water called for. i like it that way.

otherwise i usually dilute most of the juices in my house with vodka. not only do they last longer, they are more fun that way :)

I always cut my juice with water. Especially at the end of an OJ carton when the juice is thicker than it was when I opened it originally.

I do it too! I have to watch my blood sugar and I like to just gulp juice until it's gone, but it really affects my blood sugar, so I water my juice down to 1 parts juice to 3 parts water. It makes the juice a little bit tart so I add just a pinch of stevia and it helps bring out the natural sweetness of the juice.

I also find that when I happen to have 100% juice it's WAYYYYY too sweet for my taste.

it is kind of trifling, some things you cant skimp on is good juice

I buy the simply orange and its pure OJ, or the simply limeade/lemonade

or there is some new kind of juice i think its called pure juice and its silly but thick

and no way do i water down V8

Not because of the price of it, I just don't prefer any drink that's too sweet.

if u prefer "unwatered down juice" but u do it to save money, its cheap. If you do it cuz you prefer it (which i have done before..pure juice is just too sweet and think) then its fine

I am guilty of doing it on Simply Orange AND Simply Lemonade. It is a combination of cheapness/laziness and used to the taste I guess. My parents used to have us do this when we were broke.

Very rarely do i ever stumble upon the specific kind of orange juice that i can drink more than a sip or two.

I have never put water into juices, just poured a very small amount of them.

I do, but mostly to avoid spiking my blood sugar, and because I have GERD, watering juice seems to help control reflux.

I cut my juice with water all the time. Not to save juice, just because I like the taste better. I think thats why I like Vitamin Water...it tastes like watered down juice.

I do that with most product drinks - juice, lemonade, tea... they're too strong - way stronger than they need to be. My brother used to openly laugh at me. He got such a kick out of it. He didn't grasp the simple concept that a lot of these things have water added to them in the first place or that OJ is a lot stronger when it's processed and sits.

I'll brew plain tea and ice it and cut OJ with that too - pretty tasty and you're only paying for tea bags.

My latest favorite is - my wife comes home with apple juice for our son. "look 40% less sugar" I took a look at it and sure enough - it was 40% friggin' water. Thanks Motts. You're the clever ones aren't you.

cheap, prob but i think a lot of people do it


i dont do it as much for the savings but some juices are too sweet by themselves so a lil water action and its just right , savings are a bonus
