I'd love to see a breakdown of why WF thinks Pelosi is so awful! What are the odds it extends anywhere beyond something like "she's ugly/annoying" and that she's some kind of socialist/Big Government monster?

The world doesnt revolve around SF. Sure she got shit done but look at the cost. Obamacare is a mess. Nobody wants cap ans trade. Im glad she's minority leader, While I am no fan of the GOP it only exposes more as such a polarizing person and sets the stage for the Dems to lose more in 2012

She called illegal aliens patriots meanwhile demeaning ICE AGENTS doing their jobs

They're the bastion for political discussion when it comes to making up tangents that have little basis in what's been said or even reality, so it's fitting! Do you or do you not continually bring up points that nobody has posted here? Every time you have been challenged to simply quote one of the things you accuse people of saying here you've failed to do so! EVERY SINGLE TIME!!!

And it's fucking hilarious that YOU of all people get self righteous over other people using political cliches!

A rural Wisconsin man apparently enraged by Bristol Palin's "Dancing with the Stars" routine blasted his television with a shotgun, leading to an all-night standoff with a SWAT team, investigators said.

Steven Cowan, 67, was arrested Tuesday morning after officers coaxed him out of his house in Vermont, a rural community near Madison. Cowan, who is accused of threatening his wife with the gun after destroying the television, appeared in a Madison courtroom Wednesday on a charge of second-degree reckless endangerment. His bail was set at $1,500.

During today's Glenn Beck radio show Sarah had to be corrected by the host on the current hostilities between the two Koreas.

CO-HOST: How would you handle a situation like the one that just developed in North Korea? [...]

PALIN: But obviously, we’ve got to stand with our North Korean allies. We’re bound to by treaty –

CO-HOST: South Korean.

PALIN: Eh, Yeah. And we’re also bound by prudence to stand with our South Korean allies, yes.

A slip of the tongue? Maybe, maybe not. But in John Heilemann & Mark Halperin's Game Change there was this telling point which suggests otherwise.

She knew nothing. She had to be taken through World War I, World War II, the Cold War, and Palin was not aware there was a difference between North and South Korea. She continued to insist that Iraq was behind 9/11; and when her son was being sent off to Iraq, she couldn’t describe who we were fighting.

Prepare for: "blood libel" to be the word of the day.

Sarah Palin just used it in a statement about the AZ shootings, and it's kinda offensive to jews.

here's what blood libel historically refers to:

1) [A notorious Bible verse, Matthew 27:25,] taken by Christians for centuries to indicate that the Jewish people as a whole and for perpetuity bore direct responsibility for the crucifixion and were therefore fair game for persecution and extermination.

2) A false accusation or claim that religious minorities, almost always Jews, murder children to use their blood in certain aspects of their religious rituals and holidays. Historically, these claims have-alongside those of well poisoning and host desecration-been a major theme in European persecution of Jews. The libels typically allege that Jews require human blood for the baking of matzos for Passover.

She's priceless.

According to the National Enquirer, Todd Palin loves him some whores.

The National Enquirer is reporting that Todd Palin cheated on Sarah with a female massage therapist who was "busted for prostitution."

An anonymous e-mail tipper suggested that Todd's affair with 36-year-old massage therapist and computer technologist Shailey Tripp led to her arrest in March 2010.

"According to the tenants in the building of her offices, they saw Todd come and go often and heard noises that sounded like someone was having sex. It was the same tenants who called the police on her," the source said.

The Enquirer claims it has uncovered official documents that reveal that Tripp was arrested for maintaining a house of prostitution and that cops have confiscated evidence that could tie Todd to the alleged extramarital affair.

I'm not so sure about this story: my preference is for Sarah Palin's career to end because she's a dumb, mean-spirited bitch, not because of some possibly bullshit story about Todd fucking whores. Here's what I do find interesting about this story, however: when the Enquirer broke similar stories about John Edwards' cheating, the right wing absolutely blasted the "lamestream media" for not jumping all over the story. Let's see if they're as eager for the LSM to pick this up.

I don't know, man. I don't think the public opinion of Obama has drastically changed either way since shorty after he got elected. Why would they? He really isn't rocking the boat, his policies seem to be intent on keeping the status quo, occassionally with a slight left-leaning, occassionally giving up way too much to the side he won an election opposing. I think Obama's main concern, is getting re-elected in 2012. He reminds me of a co-worker that doesn't care much about the results of their work, but is concerned more with their climb up the corporate ladder.

Yeah, the people who thought Obama would come in and take us out of Afghanistan and Iraq in 3 months are long off the Obama bandwagon and no one cares about Libya because we don't have troops on the ground.

These two things ARE important, but they have little impact on how Americans feel about Obama. It's more about things like the economy, healthcare, etc. As our wallets go, so will Obama.

Anyone watch Game Change?

Brilliant movie.

Very well done and great performances all around. It's a movie where what is not spoken speaks volumes. The looks people give each other when Palin would speak off her political script are screaming "What?!" Ambitious, selfish, caring mother, egocentric mental patient? You can decide on that last one. The story also show what we might have had with McCain as President, and I don't think that would have been a bad thing, despite his running mate.

Former McCain Strategist Steve Schmidt On Game Change: Notion Of Palin Being President Frightens Me (http://www.mediaite.com/tv/former-mccain-strategist-steve-schmidt-on-game-change-notion-of-palin-being-president-frightens-me/)

Juilanne Moore was amazing as Palin. She owned the role. I also have to give props to Sarah Paulson, who played Nicolle Wallace, who played Palin's head campaign advisor, who I believe summed up the country's frustration with her in one scene after the infamous Katie Couric interview.

They're both idiots for even considering it.

I hoped that with all his "change" mantra, he'd have had the guts to make the smart move and restore diplomatic relations with Iran. Want to impact Iranian politics and policies? Open a U.S. embassy in Tehran.

No way, ur out of your mind!

The Presidents plan is beautiful! We put the squeeze on Iran now, drive up oil prices and eventually send in UN nuke inpectors to make the Mullahs prove they dont have any WMD's. Then we can invade the country, set up a democracy and help the new government with their oil production as consultants.

Not only will we be greeted as liberators by the people, US companies will make profits and we will have dirt cheap gas for decades!!!

Well, I like to think that we have, as a nation, learned a little something from Iraq.

It is obvious that US troops should NOT be gay or have access to alcohol and pornography. So maybe we should rely more on private defense contractors for the actual invasion, occupation and rebuilding.

Yea. I think thats the ticket.
