FOR SOME REASON, Otis pulls the water dish into the middle of the hallway (the edge of the kitchen, where I keep the food and water is near the hallway). He's 11 years old, so I'm used to it. No matter where I put the water dish, he HAS to pull it towards him.

In the last minute, I heard the dish move.

What ODD things do your pets do?

I owned a chihuahua years ago that masturbated with blankets. You just love them and go on.

My Frenchie, Zoe will take her favorite tennis ball that she likes me to throw for her, and push it under the couch, and then wedge herself halfway under the couch and yelp and cry until I

A) Get the ball out from underneath the couch, and

B) Pull her out by her hind legs from underneath the couch, although I have seen her manage to squirm her way under and out of underneath the couch on multiple occasions.

I also used to have a Cairn Terrier who was so obsessed with the chess board, that anytime I was playing chess on the living room floor, and someone would move a piece, she would use her nose to push it back to it's original space.

my cat Rom when startled will run into walls. Has to sleep right where my feet are, even after I repeatedly kick him off the bed. when Furie is relaxing on our bed with our son and calls Rom over. OUr son will pick him, pull his tail, try to hug him. Rom will get away, but will come right back if Furie calls him.

Braddock chases his tail for minutes on end, way past the normal time frame in which an animal realizes it's their own tail.

The other night we watched him as he sat in the living room, his tail stretched straight out and him watching it as he moved it slowly to the side, attacking it halfway through, stopping, resuming the process.

He is still a kitten so there are not many odd things about him, yet.

My in-laws' Dachsund does this. It's a control thing. The dog is actually playing fetch with you. If that sort of thing bothers you, stop indulging the dog. Otherwise, have fun.

I know that it is manipulation, but its cute so it doesn't really bother me. If I'm not in the mood, I just put the ball where she can't get it, otherwise I generally oblige her.

my cat used to play fetch, but now shes too old and fat

Otis and Alice used to do that but they wised up in their old age.

I used to have a hamster Gilbert who'd fall asleep in my hand. He'd often have, umm, nocturnal emissions. That would wake him up then he'd eat it.

Otis likes to knead and suck on my hair when I'm in bed. He can do this for hours. My hair is a mess when I wake up. If you pull him away in the middle of it he looks like he's drunk. My ex-husband once commented, "That cat is unnaturally attached to you!"

My Otis is attached to me too. We call him Otispis Rex. He is the first boy cat I have ever had, so maybe it's a boy thing?

My dog Casey loves to "dance". If you say "Casey let's dance!" she jumps on your leg and starts humping the air like crazy. She'll do it to people you tell her to dance with too. She's taken chicks down to the ground before and just stood over them humping the air. Best trick EVER.

I live on a dead street, sometimes when a strange car is coming slowly down the road, like its looking for a house number, my cat Gus will walk into the middle of the road and sit down. He will just stare at the car and not move until the car is inches away. Sometimes, when the driver sees him, the car will stop, honk his horn, but my cat wouldn't move. It can be quite funny, and I do fully except to come home one day and find Gus dead in the middle of the road.

Otis used to go NUTS for my dirty running gear, especially my sports bra. One time after a run, I was laying on the floor with my arms above my head. He went CRAZY and rubbed his face in my stinky pits.

Otis is a freak on SO many levels, but he's the sweetest and most docile cat ever. If life is carbon based then I think Otis must be soy based.

My ex boyfriend said, "You do realize that if he could, Otis would have sex with you."

Every time I accidentally get peanut butter on my cock, my crazy dog always licks it off.

Odd not incredibly sexy.

My pug Newman would take his water bowl around with him too. We'd fill it and he'd immediately be of the opinion that it should be somewhere else. Really funny but messy - I eventually replaced his bowls with giant ceramic bowls meant for a Retreiver or so sized dog.

He also likes to get angry with his poop. He'll dump and then while he's scuffing dirt back on it growl like he's showing it who's boss.

Ruby has a fat body that slopes into a skinnier head, then skinny face, so she'll intentionally stop while you're walking her - and as moron boy (Newman) leaps ahead jerking both leashes in that direction she stops short and the whole leash comes over her fat neck and skiinny face then you're walking an empty collar.

When I'm sleeping during the day I'll usually wake up and find her at the top of the steps outside my room (I think she realizes it's a chokepoint) keeping an eagle eye on things .... really cute.

I love my two dumb ass dogs. We had them in doggy care over the weekend, picking them up tomorrow and were just commenting on how they've become a part of the house - it's weird when they're not around.

When I was a teenager we had a chihuahua (the one that masturbated). I used to take her on long walks. Sometimes she'd decide she didn't want to walk anymore so she'd fake limp so I'd wind up carrying her.

I had a dachshund that would lick your face if you cried. One time in the park she was madly licking the face of a bull terrier who was howling for some reason. She'd also automatically roll over on her back whenever she met another dog or person. She was the sweetest thing.

she is also a licker... you lay on the floor and she will come over and give your face a sponge bath with her warm little tongue... the most ticklish spot is when she licks your eyelids

my cat fetches candy wrappers... he will hunt me down for any wrappers and make me throw them for him.
He tends to store them with is toys and will bring then and lay them in my lap... and wait until I throw them again.

Buddy has so many quirks it's hard to name them. Here's one I'm dealing with now. He absolutely refuses to drink water from anything other than his bowl, and the bowl has to be in the same spot of the kitchen all the time. I brought home a beef bone for him tonight. He chews it outside for about an hour, then barks to come in. He drinks a bunch of water, then goes back out for his bone again. If I put the bowl outside, he won't touch it.

LOL!!!

My old boss had a bunny (not sure the type but he was of the bigger variety). On Sundays he'd make a tent out of the NY Times.

Alice is a licker. Sometimes when she's close to me at night, I'll hold her paw and she HAS to lick my hand. When I scratch the base of her tail or if Otis licks her around there, she HAS to lick her chest.

Lloyd is the ODDEST cat I've ever owned. He represents what people don't like about cats. First of all, only my husband and last boyfriend ever saw Lloyd. He hides when someone comes over. My best friend sometimes feeds them when I'm on vacation. She takes a head count and worries he ran away. I tell her there is no way he'd try to escape. He's afraid of wind.

He resembles a lot of other animals-- his body is ferret-like, he's got owl eyes. And, unfortunately, he's the odd-man out since Alice and Otis are so tight. He allows affection ON HIS TERMS.

WhenI first got Lloyd, it took a while for Alice and Otis to accept him. Alice was a cunt, but Otis, being Otis, was more giving. I remember watching them on the couch together. Lloyd was a young cat (still a kitten, but not an adult) and he was at one end of the couch. Otis was at the other end. Lloyd sidled up to Otis and, well, tried to nurse off of him. I will NEVER forget the confused look and abject HORROR on Otis' face.

I laughed my ass off and yelled, "That's right! Run away little man! Now you know how it feels!"

Lloyd didn't understand so I cuddled him.

This is Lloyd:

http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k203/petrina_02/Lloyd.jpg

Doesn't he look like a tight ass?

He's all of 10 lbs and harasses Alice, who's 23 lbs.

I attribute it to their Dad finding her in a garbage heap on Staten Island.

From what I know, her parents were feral.

And she could not possibly be more afraid of the outside.

I could leave every door and window in this place wide open for days, and she wouldn't go near them.

She'll stare out the screen door sometimes, and at the sightest gust of wind, she is off to the races upstairs.

our cat esmerelda used to do that, to the point she was constantly over-turning water bowls. we got an over-sized dog bowl to cut down on that. if she likes you, she will also groom you; licking your arm for up to a half hour.

Fiona my cat is a tortie (breed) and i adopted her when she was 3 mos old, now she is 5.

She use to fetch and every now in then she still will.

She brings me her pet string when she wants to play.

If she is frisky she will start off at a dead sprint and slide across my rug in the entry way. Then she will run to her window that I leave the shad open for her and scratch at the window.

She will not eat soft food, kitty treats, nor people food only Purina One.

She has never been outside except in the cat carrier. She will stand at the open door and if she sees me, she'll run back in.

Anytime I walk back into the room or from outside she is there to greet me. She will also follow me from room to room when I am home.

She will "yell" at me if I do not give her fresh water twice a day.

If I return from vacation she is mad at me for a day.

She's an awesome cat.

She watches it for hours and as soon as she moves or I move and a shadow passes over it and makes it appear to be moving she pounces on it with her mouth, but only winds up jamming her mouth into nothing but the floor or wall. my old cat would only drink out of the faucet...so when she was thirsty she would sit in the sink until i turned on the water

My cat does that too. Usually around 2 am he'll start meowing until someone gets up. However, he will drink from a bowl, but not the usual way. He'll dip his paw in to the water and then lick it off.

My dog Mojo eats only dry food. On his morning feeding he will usually take 8 or ten or so pieces of kibble in his mouth and take them into the living room and scatter them around floor. He then plays with the pieces individually, finally eating them all, then goes in the kitchen and finishes the rest of the bowl. God forbid he should miss a piece under the couch or chair, he sits and wimpers until you can get it for him.

And like Raamone's dog, Mojo likes to keep his toys in his cage, he is very posessive.

Hilarious. My dog Bonnie does the same thing.

She likes to roll on her back and will stay prone with her paws in the air for minutes at a time looking at me upside down the entire time

A weird thing just happened!

For the last half hour or so, Ronfish seamed to be hiding under on of the fake log decorations, and Fezfish was sort of laying on the bottom of the tank next to Ronfish. They weren't moving from that spot at all, even though this is their most active time of the day. I sprinkled some food into the tank, and Fezfish left his spot to go eat. Ronfish stayed under the fake log.

It dawned on me that Ronfish might actually be stuck, and Fezfish was staying by his side for support! I lifted the fake log, and Ronfish continued with his normal activities. This tells me something. Fezfish is very dedicated to the health and well being of Ronfish....

Until there's food involved.

My one hamster, CeCe DeVille wakes up when she hears RnF comes on. and Ron starts the show. Her cage is 3 feet from me. She'll stare at me for about 30 seconds and then go back to sleep.

I don't know if this is ODD behavior really, but on Halloween I had dressed my dogs up and was taking photographs, you know, like normal, and I noticed a theme:

Chico was closing his eyes in the pictures.

That little f*cker does not like the flash going off, so he closes his eyes.

That made me laugh a lot.

<----see avatar: The red doberman likes to lay on her back, feet to the ceiling, with her head cocked off to one side for balance. The blond one loves to bird hunt although he has no training. He is half Akita, and half what ever fucking raped our Akita in the middle of the night. He was out with my brother and nephew last week and not only pointed several pheasants and found one they had knocked down, but caught one for himself before it had a chance to fly. And it was a rooster (you can only shot the roosters for anyone that may not know).

We made the mistake of setting a small fire to kill crabgrass. My bulldog freaked out; growled at and charged the flames full tilt; we had to carry her inside. She wanted to fight fire so badly.

I'm starting to fear Ronfish and Fezfish. I had set aside time tonight to clean their tank, but I was feeling very lazy. I just sat here watching TV and wasting time on the internet. All of the sudden, I had no internet connection. I called Comcast, and they said there was an outage in my area that wouldn't be fixed until 6AM. Well... I guess I'll clean the fish tank. Within minutes of finishing the tank cleaning, my internet came back.

Ronfish and Fezfish control the internet.

I just spent the last 20 minutes first pulling my dog Katie away from a one on one fight with a baby possum followed by having to wash the mud caked all over her face and paws. Followed this up wth cleaning the floor by the door and chasing the scared shitless possum off into the woods. How's your night going?

Chief eats paper products (tissues, toilet paper, and paper towels), which after ten years has made me the odd one, cause when I go to people's houses I'm weirded out when they don't have their trash can on top of a higher surface (bookcase etc), napkins on their lap instead of on top of the table, and bathroom doors closed at all times.

I'm constantly amazed at how quickly my dog learns. I'm sitting downstairs at my comp, and Buddy scratches on my door to take him out. Being a lazy man, I picked up my cell and called the upstairs phone to tell my son to do it. I've been making a habit out of it. As soon as Buddy heard the phone ring, he ran upstairs to my son's room!

Our Berneise Mountain Dog, Brody is a big, strong dog. (bred to pull carts and herd cattle) He routinely chews up 2 liter bottles until they pop and procedes to flatten them, he got pissed at my dad leaving him in the car so he shoved his head out through the softtop.
Here is the odd part...
He is terrified of feathers.
