I've been workin the last 6 years as an hourley shiftworker 50 to 60 hours a week depending on the work load. The opritunity presented itself to step up and go back to a regular 40 hour a week days job. Im i bad for bailin on the bretheren oil workers and becomin a suit? You know i've workd for this goal for some time now and now that i've achieved it I'm sad and a little scared at what the new world holds. How do you transition from the man who is almost never home trying to provide for your family to the man who is Home by early and gets to spend all of the nights with his family?

Congratulations!!
As long as you love your family, and enjoying your time with them...you can't lose.

Absolutely, congratulations. Time with family is better than time at work.
Even if your job is eating cupcakes.

You might have problems.
Your wife is probably used to running the house solo.
You should be proactive and have a talk with her.
